I don't know. But I really, really like my current 4890 toxic. The cooler works extremely well, and is very quiet. It has to be the best cooler design for modern cards that I've used.

Who cares? PCB color does not effect performance. If the VaporX is really a lot better than the reference design, it's worth having an ugly pcb.

Blue PCB's run cooler since blue equals cool

That's why Asus uses red PCB's, red = fast!

Ontopic though, I like the VaporX design, don't care about PCB colour either.

Well, I just sold both my EVGA GTX 280 cards for close to $520 on eBay.

International bidders are awesome! Now all I have to decide is what to buy next (two 5870's vs. two 5850's). I need something until GT300 hits the shelves and I need it fast since I will be stuck on my old X800GTO until replacements arrive. I figure 2x5850 = 3xGTX280, no?

Wrong! I have seen the benchmarks of 2 5870's vs 2 gtx295's and the 5870 wins by a mile.
4 gpus dont scale well at all remember!

does the fan position on the Vapor-X/Toxic/Atomic allow the heat to be blown out of the back nicely?
It looks like a lot of the hear goes down the other side of the card, right into the case.:shadedshu

The fan setup of the Vapor-X HD5870 looks to function the same as the Vapor-X HD4870/90 cards.

The shroud funnels the air in both directions, although this time more of it will likely go back into the case as the exhaust vent is much smaller now on the HD5850/70.

The fan isn't designed to "force" the air in any one direction.

GPU temps should be great as usual, just make sure your case cooling is sufficient, to overcome any increased case temperatures...
