Following the success of its VPC100 All-in-One PC, ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual display and computing products, today introduced its VOT132 PC mini. A smarter and greener computing solution, the VOT132 uses up to 80% less energy and up to 45% less plastic than traditional tower PCs, offering consumers a viable alternative computing solution.

Weighing just over a pound, the VOT132 PC mini comes standard with the latest Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and Intel Atom 330 processor. Teamed with 2GB of internal memory and built-in Wi-Fi, the VOT132 is ideal for efficient, home office computing. For those seeking enhanced display performance, the VOT132 also comes equipped with the latest NVIDIA ION GPU, making it an excellent device for ensuring smooth, 1080p HD display quality for the ultimate multimedia entertainment experience.

"Consumers are demanding green computing devices that offer enough power to serve as their connection to the digital world, while also saving on desktop space," said Jeff Volpe, vice president and general manager of ViewSonic North America. "Our VOT132 recognizes these needs by serving as both an Internet server and entertainment hub, making massive, energy-guzzling PC towers a thing of the past."

Consumers can easily attach the VOT132 PC mini to the back of a monitor with the included VESA mount for an ultra-clean, compact computing solution.

To address the evolving ways consumers are creating and consuming digital content, ViewSonic makes it easy to add on DVD and CD read/write capabilities with the VDD100 Super Multi drive. The optional, attachable drive easily connects to the VOT132 via magnets and fits securely in a desktop stand.

In conjunction with the launch of Windows 7, the ViewSonic VOT132 PC mini will be available October 22 for an MSRP of $499. The optional VDD100 Super Multi drive will be available in November for an MSRP of $99. For more information about this product, click here. Driving the next generation of computing, ViewSonic will be launching additional power-saving PC mini models throughout Q4 to further address consumer and commercial needs.

eh... why pair a white keyboard with a black display? and 500 bucks for just the PC or does that include the monitor? WAY too expensive.

It will help confuse the general public into thinking they are buying a MAC.
