screws are included as well as motherboard standoffs the case supports ATX and Micro ATX motherboards and that psu will most certainly fit and power anything u have but once again i STRESS the fact you NEED to test that GPU in another computer to see whats going on because the GPU may not be any good and buying a new case and PSU for a broken gpu isnt a great idea

to break it down

1) test the GPU in another rig
2) if the GPU works Then try the case the and PSU

dont just buy the above items and hope it works you need to do your homework and test the parts ie that GPU otherwise you could be spending 100+ euro for no reason

The only thing is the 5770 that I purchased before the 5750 had the exact same problem and it's going to be hard to get this card tested as computer shops around here are unwilling unless you purchased the hardware from them!

Instead of PSU issues it sounds more like a motherboard bios compatibility issue to me.

I had a 5770 paired up with a Asus P5N E-SLI (nForce 650i) and at first the screen would not show any display. The power was working fine, the fan on the card spun and there was no shut down issues, I just couldn't get the card to output to the monitor.

I swapped PSU's, tried the card in another machine (which proved it worked), changed monitors and cables and only when I was about to return the card did it dawn on me to look for a MB bios update. Sure enough, on ASUS's site there was one for my exact motherboard designed to correct the very problem that I was having. Since the update everything has been working beautifully.

Hope you can figure out a solution to your issue.

I do like the look of this PSU and case!
I just have to be certain that the case has skrews and stuff that will be ok with my MicroAtx components..
Especially the Motherboard :)

Thanks,

what is wrong with that PSU? that is one of the best PSU ever made in this period, almost everyone in this forum use a PSU that is from Corsair because they are absolute beauty and they work flawless in all situation, they are worth every penny you pay for.
I am running a corsair 400W in my system with a 5750 and the upgraded version of your CPU from its period and overclocked aswell.

As for the case, it will be fully compatible with all components.

Aside from Extended ATX motherboards.

+ 1 cases are just cases, if they have good airflow and good cable management who cares about the brand.

alright i was trying to find his chipset cant track it down its listed for mobo manufactures but not on intels site as far as i can tell its PCIe 1.1 and seems some ppl are having issues with the new 5k cards and older PCIe 1.1 and 1,0 slots so it may be that the 5750 really isnt compatible  i wouldnt think it to be the problem but its a possibility do as was mentioned above see if your motherboard has a bios update

I have too but not in a case like this. I'm still pretty sure it communication failure between the graphics card and the monitor's OSD chip.

+1

I think that should be ruled out before buying a new PSU

afaik, most PCI 2.0 cards are backwardly compatible with 1.0

Do you have a TV or friends monitor with a DVI input to try a different display?

well if motherboard is the issue then he should get a newer motherboard:
Asus P5Q SE2- http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160933
Yeah its not the best motherboard but its better than his current mobo and it has pci-e 2.0 slot,he be able to overclock his E6300 much better than his asrock also.
That motherboard and the corsair VX 450W will go over his budget by £10 but its worth the upgrade in my opinion.

I'd imagine it wasn't the monitor : /

There's some Scottish members on this board maybe some are in nearby towns and can help you out : ]

I'll get in touch with the ones I know.

Where is it you live? Not specifically lol

I'm in a similar boat as the OP.

I have inherited an nForce4-based Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI sporting an Opteron 170 (stock clock), 2 GB of RAM, and currently the world's hottest video card, the 8800 GTX (aka "Bakers' Delight"). PSU is a Seasonic 650W. It might be someone else's hand-me-downs, but for me this is a serious upgrade!

I loathe Nvidia's graphics, and my old box had an X800 Pro (AGP) in it, so after picking lots of brains and doing lots of reading, I settled on an ATi HD5750 based card of some denomination would give me the best back for the buck, with a bit of room to breathe into.

The problem is that not one, but three different brands of 5750 card refuse to work in my NF4 board. I tried an HIS one first, and like the OP all I got was full-speed fans, no beeps, no monitor activity. The board was perfectly seated, and the graphics power connected. I tried both PCIe x16 slots (the board is 2.0 spec), no joy, I tried booting with none, one and two monitors connected, nothing. I borrowed a 750W Antec and swapped that in, no joy. Take the card out, drop it into a friend's Core2Duo box (with a 380W PSU, I might add) and it comes up first go. Put it into a friend's Phenom II machine, it worked perfectly.

I tried a PowerColor card next, and apart from the PSU change which I didn't bother with, I got the exact same results -- nothing but fans.

So, I cop another restocking fee hit, and go for the Gigabyte GV-R575D5-1GD. You think a graphics card made by the same company that made the motherboard would work, right? Wrong. No change, full speed fans, no beeps, both slots tested.

The motherboard has the very last available firmware, so that's not an issue.

The only thing I can surmise is that there is a major conflict between the nForce4 and ATi's 57xx reference design.

Anyone else with any ideas?

Anyone recommend me a modern ATi graphics card that is known to work with nForce4 boards? I know a 3780 works, but what about the 4xxx series stuff?

Like crazyeyesreaper said watts means shit!

The other thing is your board is PCI-e 1.1 , i think?
The 5000 series (PCI-e 2.0) have problems running in PCI-e 1 or 1.1 as far as i know

Yep!!! I was forced to upgrade my whole rig when my good old socket 939 rig (EpoX 9NPA3 Ultra - PCIe 1) didn't like my 5750. :D

I had a 4850 before on my NForce4 Ultra rig and it worked like charm... 4770 worked fine as well. So I would assume 4000 series works fine on NForce4 mobos with PCI-e 1.0 (16x) slots.

You could probably check out the 4850's from HIS with those IceQ coolers. Good looking cards and runs way much cooler than stock 4850's.

Have you tried to remove the old video cards driver first, you stated you never did it.
Just remove the driver and try again.

Fair point I will need to try :-]
