The line that separates madness from greatness is too thin to tell the difference...

Interesting way of putting it, but assuming your giving your answer in that, i'm gonna go with u like it?

I do gave it a ten to reward the originality ;)

Cool case. Nice equpiment. Very original. 8/10

ok after much thought im gonna go with a 7. its a nice mod, however heat buildup must be pretty bad.

Very nice, could use a paint job but 10/10 anyways.

Hmm.... If you got a pro to make a wooden PC case, id reckon it'd have a lot of teak oil on it...
Did you lacquer/oil it? I give the case 9/10. It looks neat (not like other wooden PC cases) and its unique

haha thats great!

I Have oiled it with Danish oil. The material i have used gets best result with that oil. (have tested alot of different oils and lacquer.

About heat. The case inside is VERY cool. Have 2x120mm throwing in air in the bottom (see pics.) and 1x140 + powersupply 120mm throwing out the warm air from rear. The in-air passes HDs (3xraptor) flows over the motherboard nicely and goes directly out from rear! So the this case has better airflow than most of my previous cases including (4 home built, a couple of antecs, acrylic, small formfactor some chieftechs etc. My previous case was a P160 with watercooling and one extra 120mm that i modded in that was good but this has lower temps.

thats very unique, well thought out

Its not really my style but i gave you a 9 for creativity and all the work you must have put into it.

Mad props for the case and the hardware. Well done to you son.

You know, I think wood would give better cooling than metal. More breathing. I would have chose something better than particle board, but I like the design. I was thinking of getting my dad to make one and that is basicly what I had in mind.
LOL @ "more breathing", you honestly believe wood conducts heat better than metal?!?

To the original poster, why didn't you use MDF?

I have this urge you pick it up with my gravity gun and smash it against the wall. 10/10

I voted 4/10 because:

I can see you put a lot of effort (and time) into the box.

But sorry, I think the net effect is dreadful. Just looks like an old junk box.

Your expensive veneering didn't pull off, neither did your attenmpt to "hide" the edges by using the metal and wood trims.

I would knock it down... consider it practice... and design a more aesthetic piece. I see you've got some serious woodworking tools in the background! You can do it!

you are retarded i would like to see you do any better dude 10/10

Hands-On

Dude, that's some serious hands-on kinda work. 9/10 for sure... yeah, particle board is easier to work with. Hardwood woulda been a 10/10!

i live in the u.k and some people over here mod cars 2 the max i.e alloy wheels sound systems and stuff one of the things they do is mod the interior in there cars
With sheets of carbon-fibre that can be picked up at the cars shops
One thinks your box would look sweet in carbon-fibre finish.

Definitely a 9 out of 10 from me.

I personally would have gone with a different veneer, or a darker stain, but it looks awesome!
