For some this might be good, for me it would be an epic waste of money.
However it's funny how Razer newsreleases always features words 'expert gaming', 'macro', 'on-the-fly' and 'pro'. And btw, I have nothing against Razer. In fact I use 2 of their products.

You sure you aren't thinking of Belkin's Nostromo Speedpad, the predecessor to the n52te? Supposedly they both have quite loyal followings, so there must be some people who enjoy using them.

I think a few companies have had a stab at it. Cyborg had one that's since gone out of production, if I remember rightly.

I've never used one myself, but I can't see why they wouldn't be decent for FPS. I imagine the number of buttons might be a draw-back for RTS or MMOs, though.

Used the nostromo N52 since it first came out before Razer started helping out with the gaming engine. Love these and are so easy to setup and use

I would study a Logitech Gamepanel G13 (for the panel actually) and retiring my aging G15 keyboard and get a Steelserires mechanical.
But this Razor one looks hot, (like de Ratsass Mouse, mailman)

Keeping in mind the keys that would get used up with foward/back/left/right, modifier keys and maybe push-to-talk. I can't see it having enough buttons for a decent MMO set-up.
