Cooler Master shipped its Turbine Master 120 mm series fans. As the name suggests, the fan has many blades (16 in number), shaped to look like an aircraft turbine. This design allows the fan to achieve high air flow at lower rotation speeds. The Turbine Master 120 is available in three variants based on rotation speed: Mach 0.8, that spins at 800 rpm, Mach 1.2 with 1200 rpm speed, and Mach 1.8 with 1800 rpm speed. Of these, only the 1200 rpm variant is out now, with the other two slated for a little later.

The Turbine Master 120 Mach 1.2 with its 1200 rpm rotational speed pushes 56.5 CFM of air with a rated noise output of 21.1 dBA. The fan uses a round frame with holes for 120 mm spacing, with both rubber and metal screws bundled. The motor uses a barometric ball bearing with a high lifespan. It uses standard 3-pin fan input, but a Molex to 3-pin cable is bundled. The impeller is detachable to help clean better. The Cooler Master Turbine Master 120 Mach 1.2 fan is priced at US $16.

seems to be a typo

2 Variants will be available...one is already out.

If you read closely, it says two, but lists three different rotation speeds (800, 1200, and 1800 rpm). In any case, if it actually meets the specs, the 1200 rpm looks like a fairly nice fan.

I don't get what is so revolutionary. I mean 1200 RPM, 56ish CFM @ 21.1 DBA is better than average for fans with similar specs. Many of those rotate from 1600 to 1800 though. I guess I was hoping these would be quieter given they dropped 400 RPMs.

I guess I am asking are these stats padding a little to reduce the number of people who aren't disappointed....mainly cause they are douches who expect the world for the cost of bubble gum?

And do they have specs on the Mach 1.8 yet? Cause 72+ CFM @ 25 DBA doesn't seem too far out of the question.

awwww no 4000rpm version?

I wanted the "jet" sound in my case ;)

and yet another fan released that will not work in a rad

Buy them anyway but add some thick 40mm fans which you get in blade servers and hide them some where in your case.

Many average consumers will think whoa...noisy PC.....must be super comuter.

Unless you fabbed up some custom shrouds. I agree tho, these frameless style fans do no interest me in the slightest.

now if some one would please make a 5000 rpm 120mm fan with a removable impeller....:toast:

The specs look much better than most CM fans IMO.
