Hold on im still thinking.

Well think this,

In Pompay they found all these cavities that were shaped like human beings but the skelitons were still there. For the exibits they used the cavities as a mold to recreate the bodies of the dead in there last contorted shapes but had to remove the still intact bones. It's not the skin, muscles, or brains (pst.. what will be left of thoughts or ideas) its the damn bones that last the longest.

Think of my baby as a bare bones P.C.

Well i was running against you over at extremetech. Congrats on the win. I was kind of confused how they said "case mod" and you came with something totally off the wall. I mean that in a good way. The more i look at it and study it i enjoy it. I thought it would have been cool if you ran the wires like nerves or something. I like the fact you beat it all together and such. Its just too big for my taste. Still im sure when you walk into your room you enjoy it as i do my case. Good work man, and good luck over at Extremetech.

Thank you feldm4n,

I'm a sculptor by training (masters of fine arts) and almost all my sculpture have been boxed in some way. I have been trying in the last few years to get out of the confines of boxes and have done a few pieces that are box-less.....

....the only thing I want for my birthday every year is a new, moderately priced mb a cpu and possibly sometimes, a sprinkling of ddr and hd thrown in for good measure. This year I wanted to really remake my computer in a way that reflects my new trend in sculpture.

(aside) Getting serious for one second, I only do sculpture if my real HVAC work slacks out and I get some free time to play.

So I got my computer stuff for my b.d. and my work went to hell early in July and I got a chance to really make something completely different.

You are right, one really loves their expressive work upon seeing it again.

Your piece (computer) is really cool and all the modders just love it. Your at the top in this forum and have really kicked some tuff ass to be there... congratulations. It is really good because you have set up a theme and have been true to it in the traditional computer modding or even in traditional sculpture making principals.

How do you make the fog stuff??

Thanks for the compliment. You need to have someone sprinkle some DDR2 on you, aswell as me lol. It was just dry ice. These are the comments i get. "Is your computer on fire?" or "Is there a smoke/fog machine in it?". I always have to let them down and say no. Although i liked the mod i just did i am looking forward to the next. Congrats again man.

VERY CREATIVE & ORIGINAL!

:)

* Two thumbs up for that...

(IMO @ least? Well, it is up with the 'ASTEROID' & the 'Copper-Pipe' ones found in the case-gallery here, in the area of "thinking-outside-the-box" originality!)

APK

P.S.=> Should have called it "Skeletor" though, lol, after the old cartoon series "He-Man" & its MAIN villain of the same 'nomenclature'... apk

I know what you mean Matthew,

I'm looking forward to my next sculpture.

The computer I built was never intended to be for competitions I just did it for myself because that was just what I wanted. Heck, I just wanted a unique computer for my office.

I was a judge once in a duct tape an cardboard boat contest way up north.

Hell, I hardly ever got in the water except once in a while with a "baby, on the lake sail boat."
Oh, by the way HOW MY NON-SWIMMING GIRL FREIND WAS LEFT TO DROWN WHILE I SAVED MY ABLE TO SWIM DOG IS A COMPLEATLY DIFFERENT STORY. So here I am, a "judge" of the coolest duct tape boats I have ever seen in my life and it is all up to me and some fine art newspaper writer up north in the USA next to Canada. Well these 20 guys an gals did the course in the boats made outta cardboard and duct tape. Weather they sunk and were under water or not while finishing the course WAS NOT STATED IN THE RULES.
I picked the winners based on the participants attitude and visual appeal of their boats.
Some of the clunkers never sank but looked UGLY and the crew manning them were some real a##$(&$% if you get my drift. As a long past judge, I can tell you, it ain't never right... but in an open contest the judges are stuck with plain ol gut feelings. Pst.. their word is also always final. You jus gotta say fu*$ it an go on.
Turns out my "case" lost out to the hamster. That hamster case was "one in the box" cool computer.

In my world, the very first rule, that is always true, is that you get what you pay for. ...The oppist it turns out, is also always true, you always pay for what you get.

Works for me.
