Well that sucks, it seems neither has a hardware kit:(
What sort of money do you want to spend, and what sort of noise levels do you prefer?
Yeah I looked already and coudlnt find any and about a month ago the TT rep here said it would work on 1155. :-\

As for money, I dont want to spend $100. Not sure how much the H50/H60/H70's go for. Ill have to look them up.

Noise doesnt really bother me seeing as I have an Antec 1200 and the noise from that isnt too awful bad so coupled with a CPU cooler it shouldnt be all that bad either. Just so long as it doesnt sound like a jet taking off im fine.

All of the hydro coolers I tested are loud! There isnt one that I would say is "quiet" or "silent" once the fans are running full speed. This is a main reason most people opt to swap out the fans (of course performance plays into it as well).

Id probably swap out those fans with my antec case fans. The case has built in fan controllers that id like to keep taking advantage of.

If you are going to by a hydro cooler go H60 or H80, they both are better performers than the earlier versions, so now we are very close to $100. You can get a H50 for $40, but they dont perform well at all out of the box.

My go to cooler in the house is a Polaris 120 from Swiftech. It mixes a good amount of style, lower noise levels, and shouldn't cause memory issues. I also like the HAVIK 140, but now we are moving towards $80, where the Polaris is usually ~$60.

I don't hate the AIO coolers, but to get a good one, you need to follow the advise of buying a more expensive version. They are super easy to work with, at least the CoolIt made ones are, the asetek (H50) is a pita to mount and as I say, not as efficient. The only thing Antec really offers is a push button fan contol on the head unit, but do you want to open your case all the time to change fan speeds?

The H50 is old school and requires some handywork to get it running on par with it's bigger brothers. I still plan on lapping mine.

Maybe the one I listened to has its fans swapped out, but it can still perform really well using low rpm fans, hence I thought its rather quiet.

As I can see nobody asked the right question - when do you need good cooling? During gaming? F..k low noise and get a small Hx, or all day since "I want to go back full time cruncing" then buy a NH14-D or similar. There are tons of rewievs on these coolers.

Gaming and crunching.

I have two i7-920's running at 3.2 Ghz: one on air, one on water.

AIR: Prolimatech Mega shadow Deluxe

LIQUID: an oldy but a goodie - Thermaltake Bigwater 745

Both machines run at 100 % CPU load 24/7 Crunching BOINC (when not gaming):
air cooled system sitting on a steady 69 - 70 degrees C
water cooled system sitting on steady 68 - 70 degrees C

To be honest, for moderate overclocking (without any serious voltage increases) I haven't found THIS water system to be too much better than the 4 or so aftermarket air coolers I have tried - so I am glad I got it "second hand" (was an "unwanted" gift to a Boinc-team member) for $60.

I must say though, once the price becomes better here, I will look at the above suggestion:
Corsair CWCH100 Hydro H100 CPU Liquid Cooler - 120mm Fan - handy, easy kit system IMHO.
as the specs/ reviews look/ sound great (might even order online with out dollar the way it is ! - a full fit out of Hockey Goalie gear for No 2 son cost only $1700 AUD where the same gear HERE totalled $3900 !!!)

I have an antec single radiator with 2 fans, it was under 100$ and it keeps my i5 @ 24-26c idle most days, it performs very well and is a closed loop so no filling etc .I can recommend it from personal experience, even when oc and gaming, my cpu doesnt hit above 60c.
