Duke Nukem Forever is one of those games that everyone really wants to see, but then doesn't come out. 3D Realms has been working on the game for over a decade, and we haven't seen anything out of it...until now. To remind everyone that Duke Nukem Forever really is in development and going somewhere, 3D Realms president George Broussard randomly and without warning posted a tiny screenshot on Shacknews. According to George, the picture is a (shrunken) real time in-game screenshot.

wow at this rate the game will be finished development and ready for beta testing by the end of this century

Who knows if they manage to put it out this year it might not look like crap, just like that Stalker game is going to look. (No attack on gameplay dont hurt me fanboys)

Duke Nukem forever is vaporware, an on going joke to the gamers. I have a magazine from 1998 that has the release date for early 1999. I want it to be real SOOO bad, but until I see some HARD evidence that it's real, I am not holding my breath.

Looks like a picture of a Duke Nukem action figure or something.

It could be a "simple" fan artwork done under 3DS max aswell....there's no proof about this thumbnail been a still capture of the game

This thing looks so real. Its almost like an action figure!

DX10 maybe?

no - they are waiting for DX11 by the looks of it

Its beyond a joke tbh - how can you spend 10 years developing a game.

there was a reason why they couldnt finish the game money or something but prey did pretty well

The story that was going around was that they had the game 50% done and then the 3d wave came around, so they decided to develop thier own engine. By the time they were done, that engine was out of date, so they needed to update it. Then finance issues came in and it got put on the back burner. Then when the quake 3 engine came out they decided to use that, until the doom 3 engine came out that is.

Now, they are supposedly using thier own engine again and it's due out "when it's done".

There have been trailers of DNF, they looked amazing, back in those days anyway. Apparently there have been some engine changes and such. It'll be a good laugh when it gets released though.

I love Duke Nukem! It's the first FPS game that I played online using Kali when I was 10 - yea I was leet. I'll scoop this game up in a heartbeat.
