Corsair Adds Cooling Fans to Product Line

was looking around at other 120mm fans, and it suddenly occured to me that these look very much the same as some 'Alpenföhn' fans, maybe they are corsairs oem??

I know Alpenföhn has an OEM for their coolers, so while they might not be Corsair's OEM, they may have the same one.

Corsair have been careful to avoid low end stuff. That makes me think these fans are a good way to buy a good fan without having to do much research, as Corsair are relying on their brand reputation, so they if they start selling shite they'll quickly lose it.

The colours on the fans look very attractive.

Spec wise, they are crap compared to others on the market. Even at the price they want.
When corsair tries to do new things, they just dont get it right. Looks is good, but performance I doubt it.
Compared to my 120mm/140mm these are weak, except for the SP120 HP.
I use the Bitfenix Spectre Pro, and very quiet to me.

How the fan is designed to move the air plays a big part.

nice looking fans ,lets hope they are quieter than the ones they put with the H60, H80 and H100, i had to change mine for noctua because the noise was unbearable.

Everything here looks great, but they sadly forgot the Crossfire cable...

These fans do look great, but i wish they moved more air there are fans out there that do same noise and move 70+

Well I think they have the good look factor and the colors are primary for what contemporary PC colors are nowadays, now just price vs performance and reliability.

The red one was photographed like that, the blue one was photoshopped to match the colors of the fan rings. Basically as an example photo.

The rings are not "smooth" for a reason - the interior of the fan housing is beveled and angled for performance and noise purposes. The fan ring leads to the intake, and is wedged for structural and performance reasons.

The fans are very high quality - I think you guys will be pleased if you get a few. We're selling all the 120 variants in single and twin packs (twin packs will save you a few bucks if you're doing a whole case).

Anyway, good to see most of you guys like them. The specs we published are accurate to the best of our abilities testing, with third party tests thrown in for comparison. Unlike some other fans you can buy...

hmmm having a hard time deciding which is better.... 120mm 2200rpm yateloon's which claim to have 77cfm and make roughly the same noise but are generally a lot lot cheaper. it roughly boils down to cosmetic differences

They were designed entirely in-house - from the mechanical and technical specifications and requirements to the industrial design, and choice of materials.

I love the longwin fan tester you guys got and showed in the blog. I Was fixing to post the link to show them where it says you designed everything from the ground up. I Couldn't find who built them for you buy I can say, they would look good in my NZXT Phantom. Now if you guys decide to make 200mm (20CM) ones as well, Ill be in heaven.

Donno, as far as fans are concerned i'm a die hard Noiseblocker fan. The looks, performance, quality, noise, they just perform the bes for me. Sure these Corsairs look interesting but i can't shake off the feeling they copied Noiseblocker's Multi-Frame fan design.

Also any info on the bearings used in these Corsair's? Ball bearing, sleeve bearing, rifle bearing, FDB? I couldn't find any info on that...
