Now, iPhone users can take their TPU (TechPowerUp) places, too! Four months after launching TechPowerUp for Android, we finally managed to clear Apple's App Store bureaucracy and launch our app for the iPhone and iPod Touch (requires iOS 3.0 or later). The TechPowerUp app delivers our site to you in a form that's optimized for your phone, without a browser overhead. News and updates, new reviews and articles are sent as alerts, the content is delivered in just the right way. Not only can you read our stuff, but can also comment, and get access to our 70,000-strong community. Now your iOS device is never too far away from TPU.

Great job, W1zz, but how are you going to get crazy rich if you keep giving everything away for free?

Thanks W1zzard and all the others who made this possible.

It's a great App. Slick and tidy and gives you the whole of TPU in a great looking, easy to use package.

nice.now I only need an iphone

In regards to an iPad version (which was discussed in the previous thread,) I see no reason to waste time on one as the normal browser version works flawlessly. I surf TPU from my Wife's iPad daily.

installed .. its awesome

Yeah I was just thinking of it having the same slick interface and another device to support and generate downloads.

good news for those who are still stuck with apple products

All hipsters rejoice...

Maybe I can ask a Meego harmattan version also for my secondary N9 phone? Only because of justice... anyway I can dual boot it to Android and use a proper app :D :toast:

if you like it, leave some feedback on the app store :)

there are no plans for other mobile operating systems, unless windows 8 phone takes off

Now now ;) Some of us chose them.

Ok who I am I kidding I bought a 3G way back when and I'm pretty chained to my 4. I have too much invested in Apps to break away.

But I have nothing to be unhappy about, my iPhone 4 does everything I need a mobile phone to do. :)

Any plans maybe for a metro styled app in the ol' desktop win8?

PS.
Just Downloaded and added 5 stars :)

Bite your tongue :nutkick: Metro will kill us all! :shadedshu

I dunno... I don't use metro it adds more clicks, but as a feature... I like reading email, chat and some news especially there, when I am not working but at ease resting etc...

I think such metro styled TPU news app would be awesome... Just my subjective opinion, and sorry for an offtopic.

I could use the Symbian version for my Nokia E5

JK.

Looks good. Great job W1zz!

That is ok, this is a good site but I just do not frequent it as much as I used too. No windows phone app, one less reason to stop by. :( Oh, and I love my Windows phone based HTC HD7, it works great. I agree though, any chance for a Win8 Metro App something like what Toms Hardware Guide has maybe?

Well you don't need an App to stop by ;)

Windows 8 phone will eventually take over the clunky and fragmented android devices.

W1zzard, do you have any plans for in app purchases? Maybe techpowerup.com t-shirts? Mousepads? Coffee mugs? I know Apple gets a percentage of things bought through the app store but anything to help support techpowerup.com.

:toast:

Hasn't this been out for some time now?

The pictures look pretty much the same as I can see on my Iphone from months ago?

you mean the android app?

definitely no plans for in app purchases

if windows phone 8 gets a significant market share i'll certainly look into writing an app. (i do this app writing mostly out of fun and to learn new programming stuff)
