Yessir, review should go live next week, I wasn't given any NDA or launch date so it's been fit into the normal schedule.

Unfortunately, this is not true, since what the big change offered by the new sockets, 2011 and 1155 both, is moving the PCIe complex into the CPU itself, rather than as an external chipset, thereby greatly reducing latency, and allowing for greater connectivity(40 lanes and five devices vs 36 lanes and four devices).

What they've done, is taken the whole X58 I/O hub, and moved it into the CPU, leaving the PCH, which at that time, was ICH10/ICH10R. We still have that...in the form of X79/Z77.

well, thats intel for you. its actually normal for them to do this. this ensures they get more money off the newer sockets.

if they made compatible CPUs, they would see a drop in revenue generated from 3rd party motherboard makers.

I do agree that they should do an X79 platform, but I personally do not like ASUS so this motherboard color scheme opens me up for a red and black theme.

Also ASUS isn't known for black and red, they also do blue, which MSI is also known for.

MSI already has the Big Bang Xpower X79 which is a beast of a mobo and this is a gaming series, X79 isn't mainly aimed at gamers...

We need more neutral colors motherboards though.

The normal B75A-G43 supports multiple GPU's.. I assume this does as well. Overclocking and raid matters to a few.

I would like to see a mATX Gaming board.

They do it now because they want to prepare distributors and SI with this new line-up. Distributors can now familiarize themselves with the new line-up and will be more prepared when the Z87 hit the market.

Also, Intel is only aiming for 20% Haswell sales in H2 2013. Most is still Sandy and Ivy and it will be like that for at least another year to year and a half. LGA1155 will not be discontinued for a while

It's a pity Intel is in the chipset business as well, pushing consumers to buy new motherboards to get minor upgrades every tick tock. I mean really, what makes the diference among 1156, 1155 and 1150 sockets. At least we should thank Intel didn't come with a 1152 socket for Ivy Bridge.
