Enthusiast PC components maker Sharkoon rolled out an interesting new accessory that makes you put your vacant 5.25-inch drive bays to productive use. The 5.25" Bay Extension, as it's called by Sharkoon, is a double-sided drive form-factor adapter. On its top side, it provides room for either a 3.5-inch drive, or two 2.5-inch ones arranged next to each other. On its bottom side, it stacks up two additional 2.5-inch drives.

Measuring 116 x 146 x 37 mm (LxWxH), and weighing about 150 g, the 5.25" Bay Extension from Sharkoon, is made almost entirely of steel, with rubber vibration dampening washers for the 3.5-inch bay. It is available in four color options, black, blue, red, and green. The company did not reveal pricing information.

I have just been stacking them on top of each other with velcro in between. This works too.

Sweet, now I can take a hacksaw to my hard drive cage and fit another 240 rad in the bottom...

This is great. Think I'll grab one of these for an mITX build.

For some reason, the 4th pic just reminds me of the U.S.S Enterprise from star treck

but that could probably be because ive just gotten out of bed,

Pretty sweet idea. Now make V2 have some holes to mount a fan and we'll be set.

A good idea for putting those unused 5.25" bays to use.

This is excellent! Not that id ever need one, but its pretty cool.
