ASUS announced its first Republic of Gamers (ROG) motherboard in the mini-ITX form-factor, the Maximus VI Impact, which could go on to become choice number one for SFF gaming PC builders. Arguably the most feature-rich mini-ITX motherboard ever made, the Maximus VI Impact is a socket LGA1150 motherboard based on Intel Z87 Express chipset, which supports 4th generation Core "Haswell" processors.

The board draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors, and conditions it using a 10-phase VRM that off-shoots into its own little PCB, with heatsink. The other three daughterboards on the Maximus VI Impact include the SupremeFX Impact, a sound-card with an audiophile-grade 115 dBA DAC, OPAMPs, and audio-grade capacitors; and an mPCIe combo card that lends it 802.11 ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0; and an ImpactControl card that gives overclockers POST diagnostic readouts and CMOS reset/restore at the push of a button, right from the rear panel.

On the connectivity front, the Maximus VI Impact gives you four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, an eSATA 6 Gb/s port, six USB 3.0 ports (four rear, two by header), six USB 2.0/1.1 ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, gigabit Ethernet (Intel controller), 6-channel SupremeFX Impact audio with 8-channel digital output, a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, and two DDR3 DIMM slots supporting up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory. Most ROG-exclusive features from the Maximus VI Extreme and Maximus VI Hero are carried over. ASUS didn't finalize pricing.

OMG that thing is so cute with all the daughter boards

Wow:toast:
That is an amazing Mini-ITX!!!

Kudos to them. One of the greatest boards ever designed IMO.

I have a 3570K that's been gathering some dust for a month and I was going to buy an ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe by next week. Now I'm thinking about selling the 3570K, then buying this ROG board and a 4670K. Decisions, decisions...

Given how popular m-ITX is getting I knew something like this wold be cooked up by ASUS.
I for one will get this at some point. I just love how you can build a killer gaming rig using very little space.
Although the case I will put this in wont be as tiny as some other m-ITX cases out there.
:toast: ASUS for this beautiful product.

Ohiwantdaddyplzbuyshinyformekthx

My itx dreams just keeps on getting more expensive the longer I put it off

I know it sounds silly, but I want an FM2 version, so I can build a 6800k LAN party rig, and OC the balls off it. No need for a dedicated GPU.

I have that combo (3570K on P8Z77-I Deluxe) and it is :rockout:
though I miss my XtremeGamer sound card from my previous setup... :ohwell:

there is huge difference (at least to my ears) between the onboard audio (ALC889A or ALC898) and el-cheapo sound card such as XtremeGamer... and that on Roccat Kave, a 'normal' gaming hadset...

so I'm kind of curious how this "SupremeFX" sounds?

Me too.:) Dream come true waiting to see them 6800ks and what new boards will be available.

WOW!!!

they listened to me!!!

3 emails i sent them about a ROGitx (r oh jih tics)

yeah, im a mover and shaker....(i wish)

Now that is a sexy board...

Mini-ITX needs support like this. You could easily build a PC (Steam Box or HTPC even) that could play any games on the market today, and for some time to come, at 1080+ high to max settings with this board at it's core.

I have been looking for this level of support in this form factor for a while now. I can not tell you how often people ask me "how small can you make my PC?". But they still want it to game like a full "gaming" desktop. That task just got a lot easier.

Kudos to ASUS!

That is by far the greatest itx motherboard ever! (Hello Caselabs s3) I can't wait to get a m-atx rog board! For the Caselabs s5.

That colour scheme is icing on the cake.

and an mPCIe combo card that lends it 802.11 ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0;
NGFF not included?
or poster just missing it?:nutkick:
i can't imagine a mpcie combo card with only one side socket!!!
:banghead:

Well, after an exact look of motherboard, i'm sure it also support ngff ssd!!!!
