NVIDIA announced the market availability of its GeForce GTX 780 Ti graphics card. Based on the same "GK110" silicon as the GTX TITAN, the GTX 780 Ti features its full complement of 2,880 CUDA cores, 240 TMUs, 48 ROPs, and a 384-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 3 GB of memory. The core is clocked at 875 MHz, with a maximum GPU Boost frequency of 928 MHz; the the memory is clocked at a staggering 7.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective), at which the memory bandwidth is 336 GB/s.

The GeForce GTX 780 Ti is based on the same PCB and cooling solution as the GeForce GTX 780, draws power from a combination of 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connectors, features a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 bus interface, and a combination of two DVI, and one each of HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. The card is 4-way SLI capable. NVIDIA is pricing the GeForce GTX 780 Ti at US $699.99, about $150 pricier than the Radeon R9 290X, but close to $300 cheaper than the GTX TITAN. NVIDIA is also running a free-game scheme that will see buyers of the GTX 780 Ti get Steam keys for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist; and a coupon that shaves up to $100 off an NVIDIA Shield purchase.

I just read the review. So it's:

Faster than a 290X(In almost all benchmarks besides a select few)
Cooler than a 290X
Quieter than a 290X
Lower power than a 290X

Oh and you get games.

Now you people can complain about the price for reasons.

Bro ... 399$ > 700$

5*c
50 wat
4~7 Quieter

And all know that AMD Cooler much more worse then nvidia ones

for 100$ you can get water cooler and all problems solved

Performance is factual difference, games and brand image is opinionated differences. You're comparing apples and oranges.
Also you cannot fully water cool a GPU with +pump +rad +res +GPU block for $100.

Performance difference between 290 and 290x: 0. Price difference? $100
Performance difference between 290(x) and 780Ti: ~12%. Price difference? +$150 compared to 290x.

Core i7 Extreme 5K ILS
Core i7 Norma one - 1K ILS

This isn't the point

AMD vs nVidia

Think about Titan users that got Demo version of video card for even more high price, this is really bad joke.

I sware threads like this just bring i out the nvidia trolls. It looks like amd still has the upper hand in the benches.. single card is a single card hmmm 7990 ;)

Nice card thou but $700 beans? Really nvidia?

hmmmm sounds like i wanna go green :D :banghead:

price difference of 780ti and 290x is almost same when you water cool it.

performance gain? 12%.....

290x + aftermarket cooler, price difference down to about 100$

free games nvidia = atleast 100$ if you sell it.

end? NVIDIA wins....

good move NVIDIA.... AMD will be forced to lower price to attract consumers. or offer alot of free games...

I love the competition......

It give lots of benefits....

side note: TITAN owners must be doing this right now :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I would feel sorry for people who bought Titan, except everyone knew it was a luxury good aimed at people who are willing to pay for its exclusivity.

The card can be had for about ÂŁ550 here in the UK, that actually ain't too bad all things considered.

I saw that too, preorders though, with the odd brand charging a few notes extra for the sake of having their brand over others.

Same story starts now when AMD Give 9 Free games ... not 1 premium and 2 free.

You can even find it for lower price .. i didn't search enough in google.

Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag CD Key - 37$
Batman Arkham Origins CD Key 17$
And i can't even remember last game ..

Indeed, although Overclockers.co.uk have a decent amount in stock at a tenner more.

MSI and Gigabyte cards.

I've been frantically searching wal mart.com and family dollars for this mythical $100 water cooling solution. Cheapest blocks are about $150 by themselves. We all knew this day was coming. Amd will always be the price/performance king. Intel, nvidia will always be Performance kings..for a PRICE. Thus the universe has balance.

Well said! If everyone will read that, all the green vs red comments and bickering will not need to happen, because yours is a sensible statement that I think everyone can agree on.

"It looks like amd still has the upper hand in the benches..." :

Except it DOESN'T! Seems like facts cannot penetrate the bubble you're living in. Are you a republican, by any chance?

There are bad things on both sides. Right now a stock 290 non X is the best buy but if you want balls to the wall and have the money get a 780TI.

I am just going to sit here with my nice clocking 7970 and watch the fireworks.

or needed a cheap compute workhorse.
