Wise man once told me its like soup. Depending on how its made is how it tastes. I learned to leave things the F#$K alone and you know what? I have less issues than most on TS. My rig aint perfect, but she runs well.

Must be the 670. I have very few too. I had the wacky blurry bug and the hit detection thing, but I don't fuck with anything to try and fix them. Like you I just leave it alone. Edit: I do get the audio bug too.

The next PC update is in the works, and we are tracking to fix a few items you have given us feedback on.

Specifically, we are looking at the Commander EMP blur effect that you have noticed, as well as the intermittent sound bug that happens most frequently on the Golmud Railway map.

While we don’t have a solid date for this patch just yet, we just wanted to let you know some of the things we’re looking at right now (besides increasing stability overall.)

Finally, Youtuber jackfrags sent us a great video where he demonstrates the so-called ”1 shot kill bug” [youtube.com], where it looks like weapons sometimes deal too much damage (although the real issue might be more complex.) We are reproducing this bug and working to fix it as soon as possible.

I like how DICE decided to fix the quick reload of the mortar (pick up mortar when empty and then redeploy for full ammo). You only get 1 mortar.................for each life. It feels like their having children make the decisions on how to "fix" bugs.

The sad part is that it appears that DICE did not know anything about this bug until Jack posted the video.......even though this was in the beta.................and some no name Youtuber posted a video demonstrating it. Seems like DICE has out sourced the Community Manager job (in the traditional sense). I still think the bug is a sync issue.

Man that M416 on hard core is brutal. Just played a short match on TDM at the Dam. As nice a gun on this game as it was on BF3.

I may play more, but I already die a lot so if it is a Conquest Large I don't last but a second
OK every time I play the Hotel map I have audio issues. So far that is the only map, but it is
still irritating because it cuts out and I can't hear people running up behind me.

Edit: I played the dam again on Conquest got the audio bug and crashed to Black. I'll jump on another server.
The dam is buggy. Another edit: Crashed on FZ , screen froze. This is a buggy game. It'll get better, but I do feel sorry for people who have nothing but bugs.

Got another friend to convert from CoD to BF. Although it's on XB1, I've been playing it on XB1 for a couple days and I gotta say it's fantastic.

Basically the conversation went like

Friend: Dude, I saw BF4 at the store and I thought about picking it up, but I got no one to play it with.
Me: I'll play it with you.
Friend: Dude, you're PC gaming master race, I'm talking about Xbox
Me: I got it on Xbox bro, buy it, we'll play.
Friend: I don't know, I like CoD, I don't like the huge maps and shit like that.
Me: You like to drive tanks, right?
Friend: Yeah.
Me: You can drive tanks in Battlefield.
Friend: I dunno man, I know what I like in a game
Me: Battlefield is better, CoD is for child molesters.
Friend: Alright, I'll buy it and try it, I can't guarantee I'll keep playing, I just wish it was a little more like CoD without super huge maps so I can get comfortable.
Me: Dude, you think it only has one game mode? Let us play Team Deathmatch, which is Call of Duty, but good.

Running 8 Preview now on my new board. So we will see how the game runs both perf and stability; hoping I can tell a diff at least over time. Woulda just still used my old 7 install as just went from Asrock Z77 mini-itx to an Extreme 4 but it did not like that due to SATA controller config or other issues despite many attempts at repairing via install dvd. Using it as a secondary drive on my other rig to run my old BF4 install may have hosed it further in that regard (made it D; changed with diskpart). Wanted to try 8 anyway but had a ton set up and installed on other OS.

I know, but I haven't had a gaming console since Nintendo 64 days. There are some games Play Station has I really would like to try that don't come to PC also.
Plus the streaming and Blu-Ray is an added bonus. The wife has decided she'd like to get one so no fighting to get it. She likes streaming movies and our current Blu-ray
is first gen and slow as hell when it comes to streaming.

Well yeah I know I'm at level 15 I've figured that out I already have a blu-ray in my gamer. It's just I'm not going to set it
up down in the living room where the wife watches TV. That still leaves the PS4 only games not accessible. Here is another

Sorry for being a crappy SL just now; that server was a POS and I was too busy dying in mysterious and enraging ways to properly strategerize and spot shit.

Though too much crap like that in general is why I'm only 15 kills up in this game so far...oh make that 10 now.

I have 3 grandkids, and nieces and nephew and my kids play console games so not much
chance of it collecting to much dust. plus the wife will be using it for movies and netflix shows.
I know what you guys are really thinking. Why stick $400 into a system when you could put it into your computer
It is a Family present not just for me so I'm fine with it. You are right though if you are thinking I won't hardly ever use it.
If I do it'll probably be for gaming single player games. The living room is like the deadzone for wifi. It has enough juice
for streaming , but gaming is shoddy.I'd have to bring it up into the loft for MP gaming so I'll stick to the PC for that.
I do take my gamer out into the loft and play it on the old 55" Sony Wega once in awhile. It is only 1080i though. Nice picture , but low Rez.

Ha , I haven't ever had a positive K/D. On some matches, but never my overall K/D. I think COD 4 was the last one I had a K/D over 1.0.
That was after playing it for a million hrs. OK that is an exaggeration, but I had a lot of hrs playing that.

So reactive armor is borked somehow I've read? Either broken or just implemented poorly or something? Anyone noticed anything fishy or have any insight here?

Also haven't crashed or had any issues in the game under Windows 8.1 yet but way too early to say I won't.

Any advice to sli user I have huge drop in FPS down to 5 FPS or lower sometimes , I did tried using 32bit version its better but still drop from time to time.

I would ask in a larger BF4 thread like at OCN where there are more SLI users simply sue to sheer numbers. Blows to have that powerful rig and be suffering drops and what not. If it's been awhile and especially if still running Windows 7 I would try it under the 8.1 Preview on another drive. Move to the BF4 folder over to Origin Games folder on new install and it should see it and install. Though it overwrote mine yesterday for some reason the POS; figured I might want a fresh copy of the game anyway though takes almost 3 hours.

I didn't bench thoroughly under my 7 install but it definitely seems I'm getting at least a few more frames under 8 and generally impressed with the BF4 performance so far on my present setup. 40-50 FPS with everything at stock right now (new board)--3570K + 8GB and single 7950 at 1440P.
