Neutron GTX 240gb is $105 with free shipping (I snagged one a few weeks ago - I own 3 of them now) Excellent drive and has been rock solid stable and reliable.

The Neutron does appear to be about 10% faster with similar IOps, but that price is for a refurb.

Yes, it is a refurb which there is nothing wrong with. I have two purchased as new and one refurb. The refurb only had a few gigs of usage - zero issues.

As a technician / engineer I in fact purposely buy refurbished equipment for the following reasons:
- Likely the product was a return with no problem found - user error - incompatibility or other. Manufacturer cannot sell it as new so they clearance items out for cheap
- If there was a common failure in a certain product, the issue is addressed and repaired in the refurb process (along with FW update if unit has FW) so you are getting a better than new product
- DISCOUNT. I have saved thousands purchasing refurbished goods over the years. So far NONE have ever bit me on the arse. Including cameras, receivers, TV's, laptops...

Besides owning 2 new and 1 refurbished neutron GTX, I also own two force GT 120gb refurb drives over 1.5 years old and a pair of refurb 180gb force GT drives. Tempting fate here but zero issues with any of them.

Just a thought - GTX is a killer drive!

even the intel ssd's which have always been @ the top of the over-pricing tier are getting low...it was 145'ish$ for the 256Gb..
