To me, it looks like it's been mixed with some sort of ceramic. It could be the lighting on the pictures or the lack of finish; it may very well be pure aluminium. Whatever it is, it certainly doesn't look inspiring.

Well not completely, i also have GELID coolers for my GPU's and there also not great. There to big and you must run a fan controller to run them and once there in crossfire they perform badly. So two products and im not pleased.

Most aluminium heatsinks i've seen have this "Matte" look on them, unless polished afaik' it would look like this

This cooler is just like the stock ones for AM3 and FM2 Athlon II CPUs, albeit with the fan sunk into the sink. This one has the same fan size and sink-height. Total height has decreased like what? 5 mm? The fan on this one has got bigger blades though.

The total height has actually decreased about 13mm from the stock heatsink. Which is pretty significant when you're talking about a stock heatsink that was only 39mm tall to begin with.
