Considering how many ATX PSUs are Platinum- and Titanium-certified now, I was wondering how long it would take for SFX to become more mainstream. The fact that Corsair is backing this form factor is a big bonus and will hopefully lead to even smaller cases.

That's is more expensive than my 750W gold , but I suppose you are paying for that smaller form factor.

The full size semi-modular 430w is £43.00 delivered.........enough of a price difference to make me build a slightly bigger case.

Hopefully we'll see reviews soon and see if all those superlatives are justified. Mainly, I'd love to know at which point the fan starts kicking in, and how hard. There's no point in paying that price for a semi-passive SPX PSU if the fan starts spinning audibly above 50W for instance.

So... yeah, looks good, but I need more factual info before I get excited about these.

The 100% Japanese capacitors is definitely a shot at Silverstone for including cheaper caps in their SFX lineup. It's also nice to see them include the all-black flat cables with both 450W and 600W models. Silverstone includes multicolor sleeved cables with their 450W unit and only includes the all-black flat cables with the 600W model. Of course they sell them separately but charge $30 for the cable kit.

Patiently awaiting JonnyGuru's teardown and review to see how it stacks up head-to-head vs Silverstone's lineup. Also curious of what the street price will be in the US as the MSRP is already undercutting Silverstone's street prices by $5-$15 depending on model and retailer.

Guys... Power density comes at a price premium. Comparing a Gold SFX to a Gold anything else is not an apples to apples comparison. Look at other SFX units on the market. If you don't need an SFX PSU, then don't buy an SFX PSU.

If cost is a factor, use a regular sized ATX PSU and route the cables in to the iTx case.
