LOL its very very LOL. You want us to rate to cabint or the pc rig?

I like it. It looks like a lot of work was put into this. I give it 7/10. If you got rid of the case inside the cabinet, and then cleaned up the wiring a bit, I would give it a 10.

Yeah you should cut out the rest of the old case and leave the motherboard and the rear I/O, then it will be a REAL wooden case :)

If you look at his build log, he has the air from the case venting from under the wooden cabinet. It was quite well done.
The little area where the DVD drive protrudes looks a lil dodgy, but still its nice :) 7 from me

I know... its obviously great but can be improved :)

The rear part is functioning as "muffler" to reduce the noise from the two 120mm rear fans. And it worked well.

Maybe a nice addition would be making a wooden bezel for the optical drive, or at least stealth the drive behind some wood. I think that would look slick, if it can be pulled off well.

Did you build and finish the wood cabinet yourself or is it store bought?

I think you should take the mod one step farther and do away with the PC case and build removable shelving or a back to the wood case to mount every thing to, opening it up for better air flow and easy upgrades ... still if you built the whole wood case from scratch you did a pretty good job ...

I am thinking about it. Should be doable. Thanks.

I voted 10/10 because:

I gave you a 10 just because of your Ideal and you put more modding time into your project then most. as for what I would do different, mount the hardware without the case in that nice box you built and finish it off with a Window with more fans, That would look awesome.

Looks nice

9/10

I bet lots of work went in to this and it turned out great.

2 reasons I didn't give it a ten.

  • I would think about making a stealth DVD drive.
  • I would clean the wires up a little bit more.

nice wood

very nice work and great detail on the wood work. got one question for you. did you use the org. power button or did you buy that big green button? i asking because i need to find a power button for my mod case.

It is an industrial switch. I got it from a junkyard.

Well, the DVD drive is covered by the wooden door (in the firsty pic). The other pics were taken before the door was installed. Sorry for the confusion. You are absolutely right about the wires.

Good : Originality

Bad : Usefullness!?

Overall, I like it. The whole thing is fairly original so I give you props for that! The only questions I have is, why did you put Crucial Ballistix Tracer sticks in that setup? Especialy when you'll never see them, which is the reason to get Tracers in the first place (to be seen)!?

Thateres a good idea, DO IT!

I give you a 8 though I havent looked it all over completly yet.. if you build the mobo tray than I would give you a 9,5/10 and if you stealth the drive 10/10.

I use Ballistix Tracer just beacuse I got a good deal on it. Kinda of waste of its fancy looking.

I respect something different, awesome wood work! I give u 10/10
