no unless you have flickering issues with other games too.
update your drivers and play the game on single monitor or 2 monitors only. also if you made any oc to memory try to low it a bit
witcher 3 isnt exactly the game that can be played w/o problems on triple monitors with just any hardeware.

They are $10USD a set. Each set contains two decks - one has Monsters and Scoia'tael, and the other has Northern Realms and Nilfgaard. I would buy them but no one I know would play it.

Yes from Peller in Skellige... maybe Keira also had them. I do not suggest crafting them, they are more cheap to buy than craft. Btw nice avatar, hope it's a your design.

Now i am in skellige and bought the rest of the diagram that i didnt have but still cant let the armor and weaponsmiths craft greater stones. I also cant buy those stones in the castle where you go first when you arrive. I even meditate and they dont show up. I got the ressources for crafting...

Does someone know when can I travel to Kaer Morhen (or any other location like Skellige). I am currently on a quest "Barons daughter " fairly early in the game.

I think you can go to Skellige whenever you want to but Kaer Morhen is scripted into the plot. I think you need to wrap up business with the Baron before you're supposed to go to either. Skellige is like Act 4 (starting map -> Baron -> the city -> Skellige). The ship to Skellige is in the city.

OK thanks :)

What about that new location from blood and wine dlc, Toussaint, I think it's called?? And one other thing I don't fully understand is why are graphics so much better in Toussaint?? Or at least when I watched a gameplay on youtube it looked like that.

My guess is that Blood and Wine is level 25+, very end-game. I haven't looked for it so I don't know how specifically to get there. I do know it is a separate map.

You can go to Touissant (Blood and Wine) after completing "A Poet Under Pressure". You're about 30 or more hours from that point. :)

Locations like Skellige or Kaer Morhen are available to travel freely to after you've completed the first story missions in those locations. I did alot of going back if I wanted a certain merchant or armorer, or just wanted to find all the quest markers and cover every inch.

Just started playing this last night. The graphics are amazing, and it runs better than I expected on my spec. So far no trouble playing it, except for trying to figure out the basics, like best places to get food, how to cook food, make potions, what weapons and tactics to use on what enemies, etc. Of course I know to draw the silver sword for creatures, and steel for humans though. Roach (odd name for a horse) is a work in progress on some of the tricky terrain, but the auto ride on roads is kinda cool, and adapts well to steering corrections.

Anyone know of a good video guide for learning the basics of TW3? I've never really played any of them, and it seems a bit more complex than Skyrim, which was fairly easy to pickup.

@Frag Maniac I'm glad to see you've started and are enjoying it!! To get the most out of it, don't rush. Explore everywhere off the roads, talk to everyone. There is alot of content and sidestory out there, sometines just listening to people talk is fascinating. There are a few sidequests which lead to other side quests and you easily can forget you aren't on the main quest. :)

As to control guides, idk of any. Each of the three games has had a different control scheme and combat mechanism. I can tell you TW3 controls are the easiest and least maddening of the three. Just practice. Both my playthroughs are over 130 hours, and next one will probably be longer, so you've got plenty of time to master all the keys. Enjoy!

I agree with rtwjunkie. Take your time. I did a lot of fast traveling and I regret it. But I could only play a couple hours a week so without fast traveling it seemed like all I did was ride around on a horse and never get anything done. I started to lose the immersion a little bit so I started to fast travel. I played on blood and broken bones and really didn't have to use potions or oils so I wouldn't worry about the basics at all. If you want to make the game really easy, hammer down on signs and quen.

Does anybody here even craft their gear like armor or swords? Because at least for me, it seems that I always find good enough gear in the world. And when I finally find diagrams to craft this and that, it's not really worth it because I have better gear already on me.

I first started playing this game in March 2016. I have never played this game(s) before or even the previous titles and I completely agree with you that Witcher 3 can be a little daunting at first. All those menus and details can be frustrating for the newcomers. Also, the combat system is much more advanced then let's say AC Syndicate.

The one thing I should point out is picking the "right" enemies to fight. This is especially important early in the game when you're vulnerable to just about everyone and everything. So level up as fast as possible and try to acquire better gear like armor or swords.

The Witcher 3 combat seems to me kinda loose, free form and contextual (for example you are not sure if you triggered head chop with controls or the position and timing was just right or both, because you can't really repeat it when you want, it kinda happens), AC Syndicate is too formulaic and restrictive, Shadow of Mordor is just right :D goldilocks zone

I wasn't talking about control scheme guides. The game already does a lot of hand holding on that. I'm talking about gameplay basics. It took me a while just to figure out how to put a rune on a sword for instance, and things like that can help a lot. I was confused because I assumed the starting swords would have slots, but apparently they don't.

...I always find good enough gear in the world. And when I finally find diagrams to craft this and that, it's not really worth it because I have better gear already on me.
A video guide I watched said the exact same thing, which if true, would appear to be a bit of a flaw in the game, since most will probably spend a lot of time exploring new areas, and looting is so fast and easy.

That said, while you CAN for instance find much stronger armor, it often looks way worse than the kit you start with. So I would like to know if armor can be considerably increased in stats, just to avoid looking like a clown in a puffy chest piece with striped sleeves and waste.

Armor and weapon repairs are expensive too, so even though you can often find better stuff, it wears out fast, and most of it you're selling off. Is there a cheaper way of repairing armor and weapons? I've explored and looted half the areas in White Orchard so far, and only found ONE repair kit, and it only repairs just armor, and only 15%

Also, why do unknown locations sometimes only partially grey out on the map after looting them? Does that mean I missed some of the loot?

The armor and weapons that you will want to craft, and are worth it are from the various schools (griphon, bear, cat wolf). Depending where you like to fight on the heavy to light scale. All require finding plans in different places, spread over a multitude of maps. All are very worthwhile tho.

The armor and weapons that you will want to craft, and are worth it are from the various schools (griphon, bear, cat wolf). Depending where you like to fight on the heavy to light scale. All require finding plans in different places, spread over a multitude of maps. All are very worthwhile tho.

Maybe later, but for now I'd just like to know if armor can be repaired cheaper, and if it can be buffed in stats, not where to craft it. A LOT of fantasy RPGs have a multitude of armor with good stats, but often, most of it looks like crap, and can slow you down.

Well in short then, until you go with a school armor/weapons set, it's not going to be cheaper. Repair kits do increase in availability in time, both found and for sale, as well as components to make them.

If you are collecting and selling everything you can carry, you will literally by rolling in money by the time you reach Novigrad, which is approximately 1/4 way through just the main story.
