Google is reportedly working on a new operating system it codenamed "Fuchsia" on the project's Git repository. Some of the oldest comments read "pink + purple = fuchsia (a new operating system)." The Verge speculates that looking at the focus on lightweight code, Fuchsia could be a cross-platform operating system that unifies the Android and ChromeOS ecosystems. Another theory holds that the OS could drive the company's routers and IoT devices. The OS is based on Magenta, a heavily stripped down micro-kernel based on Linux. Magenta's lightweight design favors embedded applications.

If it becomes competitive with Windows I am very likely to switch to it.

It looks like shit. I have enough of this flat crap on my mobile phone.

It's gonna be win 10 on meth :) :p

It's a screen of ChromeOS.
BTW, Win10 looks exactly the same.

Android on low end laptops would be awesome. I've been testing RemixOS a bit and it was really cool. Would be nice if Google officially released it as "desktop" version that can be installed on x86 systems.

No software support though. Why cripple yourself?

Google Spyware OS, just messing or am i ?.

Funny that people worry about win10 OS and it's tracking and i would expect this to have it due to it being a major advertising company.

Still linux based.

We are pretty much doomed if google will find out what we do on our computers as well.
It already knows most of the things but not all. Imagine when it will know all.
I think this add bullshit should stay away from any OS.

I know some will say that MS is anyway collecting data, but to be frank, I'd rather give it to them than to google, as there is not much use for this data for MS anyway. Most of the adds are coming through google.

Imagine when you will go to get hired and the HR which is subscribed to a google service which is 10 bucks per month (or add based) will find every little thing about you.

God I wish remix would get ready already......

i would give it a try..
