Anyone know whats going on with my flash drive?

My flash drive seems to have either died, or is totally fubar'ed. I cannot format it, and this is what it looks like according to windows. I have tried using it on both my Surface and desktop with the same result. The format windows says "Unknown Capacity"

Not out of the realm of possibilities it be dead....I've had one go bad on me. It would just "Bling" plugged in then "Bong" "unplug" I couldn't even get as far you have.

run diskpart in command prompt with admin permissions and see if it shows up there, if it does, run a simple "clean" command and see if it comes back to life.

It's dead. Even if it does come back, I wouldn't trust it and I'd just buy a new one.

It shows up, but clean doesnt do anything.

EDIT: Just did this whole process and it works.

diskpart
list disk
select disk {number}
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format fs=fat32 quick
assign
exit

EDIT2: Okay nvm, it stopped working again.

Just bought a new Sandisk 16gb usb 3.0 one. Hopefully that one last longer than this adata. I need to flash my 780 back to the stock bios to sell it.

Well buying the new flash drive was pointless. HP USB utilities messes up flash drives on windows 10. Did the same thing to my new flash drive.

Oh well, I just used Nvflash for windows and got my 780 flashed to its reference BIOS.

If you can't see it under linux using gparted, then it's screwed. Yes, you can run a linux vm under windows, and test that.

That's weird. Do the two drives show up normally in the BIOS at least?
