The only scandal that could be close to having "100% efficiency" to ridicule bills like SOPA, imho, would be to catch one of them being a hypocrite. Yes. Only one. The one that is calling the shots on SOPA. Those below him could also do, but it would have to be almost all of them. Of course that, by now, they must be covering their tracks, so...unless somebody can go proxy jumping to catch them, it's going to be near impossible to accomplish.
It certainly looks like they've got various versions of this legislation on the go, so that as soon as one gets knocked down, they'll introduce another one.
I reckon it's gonna keep going like this ad infinitum until they either get it passed, or they become mired in corruption scandals, like that MPAA guy. In fact, with a bit of luck, that will be the catalyst to start just such a scandal...
I have just finished reading it. Very well done. Thank you. :respect:
Those pricks just don't know when to give up. As if controlling the whole internet would render them a lot more income (as in, widening the gap between company survival and bankruptcy), compared to what they already profit.
If I stumble upon more news like this, I shall tip you right away.
Oh, I didn't know you already had work planned out for today. Sorry about that. :(
I just stumbled on that and couldn't hold my anger.
If you want me to stop bringing news on this subject, let me know.
Thanks. Red is already take for admins, though. I would have preferred the orange that the reviewers got and is what I suggested to W1zz initially. Yes, it's all my fault that our colours got changed!
Filesonic officially closed the affiliate program and all functionality on FileSonic is now disabled.
Fileserve removed it's affiliate page as of few minutes ago, because USA/FBI thinks that a legal part of their TOS is not enough to protect them, where users are responsible for their own content, and not filehost itself. Also, their thread disappeared from WJunction.
Filepost started suspending accounts with infringing material.
Uploaded.to not available in U.S. anymore.
Ok in a nutshell Filesonic, Fileserve, Filepost, Uploaded are dead and gone just like Megaupload.
