Be Quiet! Intros the Pure Rock Slim CPU Cooler

Be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for ten consecutive years*, extends the Pure Rock range with a new, compact cooler model: due to its space-saving and asymmetric design, the Pure Rock Slim is especially suitable for smaller PC-based systems. Nonetheless, be quiet! has not lost sight of cooling efficiency: the new model can dissipate up to 120 watts of power. As always for the Pure Rock series, offering an optimal price-performance ratio is key.

The Pure Rock Slim is equipped with a finned coil block, which has three high-performance heat pipes. These have a diameter of 6 millimeters and are fitted with aluminum caps. The Pure Rock Slim is also equipped with a 92-millimeter fan so this compact cooler is capable of dissipating a TDP of 120 watts. The seven airflow-optimized fan blades produce a maximum volume of 25.4 decibels. Thanks to the PWM connection, the speed can vary in order to achieve an optimal balance between cooling and quiet operating noise.



Maximum performance even in small PC cases
Due to its compact design, you can install the Pure Rock Slim even in tight spaces and with fully occupied memory banks. The dimensions of only 81.8 x 97.0 x 124.8 mm (L x W x H) and the asymmetric structure of the cooler ensures that neither the fan nor the fins block the RAM memory slots. The installation of the cooler is kept simple so it can easily be mounted even with minimal available space.

To maintain the excellent price-performance ratio of the Pure Rock series, the recommended retail price has been set to €28 / $24.90 / ‎£23.99. The cooler is available commercially as of today.

Slim is something you can fit in a case like a BP.655 from in win. this bequiet! cooler is a small tower cooler, but it is anything but slim.

Depending on how smooth the fan is on its bearings, pads between fan and cooler might not be necessary in all honesty. In most cases its only necesesary to keep the fan in place more-so than for audible vibrations...unless really cheap fans of lower quality are used. At this price point I would expect a cheaper, lower quality fan...but considering the price is around $25US for a Be Quiet! product, I am game to give it a test run in one of my upcoming builds where a 120MM cooler is total overkill.

Looks like a nice option that might be worth a look of someone wants a decent performing 92mm cooling solution. I hope to test soon and find out for myself.

It's a 92mm instead of a 120mm, that is slimmer.

Where I'm from the freezer 7 pro is at 24 or 21 €, and Be Quiet got a better standing than artic cooling, their fans are as good as Noctua while being beautifull. I just hope they are using a better mounting system for intel. The one thay have at the moment is far from being the best.

this is closer to the freezer 11, which i have, and that is a damn good cooler for its price. i think this can match it, but i have to see reviews to be certain.

Nah, I don't see that the aluminium base is that much a problem, since who would even get a budget cooler to a highly overclocked CPU..?

Also bq!'s fans are usually pretty high-quality, so that kinda compensates the price IMO.
