Entering for Civilization 6.

When I was a senior in high school (2011) we had to do the dreaded senior project and some people decided they would make films, do interviews and things of that nature, however some people went the extra mile and decided to restore cars partially, it seemed like a great way to 1. Get an awesome grade and 2. Treat myself before graduation by building the system that is in my specs though some parts have been replaced by now. I set my target as being able to play any game at 60 FPS for a few years to come and with that in mind my research actually led me here to TPU where I received quite a bit of advice on what I needed to make that dream a reality!

I'm too late, but here's my story anyways .

From a very young age I've loved technology, taking things apart to see how they work and probably not remembering how to put it back together. We always had a family computer to send emails, chat, watch YouTube and stuff. I always use to use it but never to game on, that would always be done on the xbox!! Till more recently I met up with @CAPSLOCKSTUCK who showed me that it's wasn't hard to make one for the same money. So that's what we did! I couldn't be happier.. that the xbox was out of my life. Gaming on a computer is just so much better for so many reasons, and it's a computer!!

I remember first playing video games seriously as a young kid, playing an old DOS game called gods on the computers for the pharmacy that Dad used to own. It would always be a Saturday that I used to play gods, after the pharmacy had closed for the day that I would play it. In summer I would also get to grab ice creams out of the freezer we had in the pharmacy. Those days were fantastic and they are also what got me hooked on PC gaming.

@rtwjunkie Honestly it is you and a handful of others here that have done game giveaways that inspired me to start my own. Of all the forums I'm a member of; techpowerup is the only one I've seen where MEMBERS do giveaways on a somewhat regular basis. I have always thought that is cool.

Story:
First ever contact with games (i am ashamed to admit) was the PS1, with my favourite games being Tekken, Army Men and Mortal Combat. I spent night and day on that thing, until the New Year celebration back in 2003 when i got my first PC with Athlon X2 and an FX5500.
After that i just started playing all kinds of games: CS 1.6, Rise of Nations ( LAN parties with my cousins, 3 to 6 hours marathon play) etc.
Then came my first Core 2 Duo with a GT240 which was a beast in its day, playing Crysis a lot and GTA.
Blablabla, rest is history
Forward on to few years i got a good deal on a new board and an i3 540 (later came the i5 750) and the 2 6770s, next was 280x and so on till my final config.
