TechPowerUp today released its latest version of TechPowerUp GPU-Z, the lightweight graphics sub-system information and diagnostic utility that no enthusiast can leave home without. Version 1.16.0 comes with an improved GPU Lookup mechanism, which can catch cards that use the same GPU and PCB, but different clocks, like some Sapphire RX 470 and RX 480 cards. Also, it can now properly tell DDR3 from DDR4 memory type on machines with Intel "Skylake" integrated graphics. Memory clock reading on AMD Radeon R9 Fury, R9 Fury X, R9 Nano, and Pro Duo, running Radeon Crimson ReLive drivers, is fixed.

The change-log follows.
  • Fixed memory clock reading on AMD Fiji cards with Crimson ReLive
  • Fixed DDR3 memory detection on Intel Skylake
  • Additional fields submitted to GPU Lookup to improve detection
  • Fixed clock reading on AMD cards which do not support Wattman

It seems we won't get ASIC quality support for Pascal. :ohwell:

gpu lookup still takes my Sapphire RX 480 ref to the Asus RX 480 ref page :P

Perhaps TPU has phased out support for Tahiti cards......like AMD....:)

Lookup needs a database of cards to be manually built. So this will take time.

What this update adds is that additional info is included in the lookup data (memory size and default GPU clock), so that detecting certain boards becomes possible.

It probably uses the AMD reference BIOS? So no way to detect the difference

When i pressed lookup it took me here

This shouldn't happen. What's your IP? Send me a PM

Is there one (ASIC on Pascal)? I thought that was established months ago?

Nvidia hasn't/wont release it so no idea why people keep complaining.

Neither AMD or NVIDIA released any ASIC stuff. I figured it out all by my own

I just updated to v1.15.0 and v1.16.0 is out!? this is faster updates than recent AMD driver releases! :D :lovetpu:

Show off  that's actually really cool, is pascal just that much different?

Memory clock reading is still missing for my old laptop. It is a 945GM though.
