AMD Ryzen Processor Models Revealed

The information feel strange. I've heard that 6 cores processor will be not possible due to architecture of rizen.
And comparison with Intel processor seems like the old buildozer architecture. AMD must put 8 core to bit the high end intel 4 cores . It's clearly not the revolution promise by AMD. Frequencies seems to be low. In CES we saw an 8 cores to 3.4ghz and in this paper, 4 cores are announced to max 3.5ghz. If this information is true, AMD will not be able to fight against Intel with mono thread application like lot of game.

OH stop the press, an Intel employee stopped by to give his 2 cents(or a BOT) you must like paying extra for intel CPU'S, bless your wittle heart go suck intels TET! OH COMP brings prices down oh boy

I have seen a charts on various websites and I think it is... Intel just has a better IPC.

What charts may I ask , everything I have seen to this date points to it having about the same IPC. If it this wasn't the case they wouldn't use such conservative clocks and would have happily trade in some of the TPD for extra clock speed.

I am also confused about that table , are those Intel chips supposed to be the products they are targeting ?

I am still hopeful that if these Ryzen CPUs can't actually outperform Intel that they can at least give customers and system builders a halfway viable alternative to Intel. I will take that over basically no competition for Intel at all, besides various ARM processors.

What I would really want is for an entity or corporation with billions and billions of dollars to invest to just outright purchase or at least buy controlling interest in AMD. They have always had the potential to be stiff competition for Intel, but they have always been lacking in funds and resources, in my opinion.

I would love for Warren Buffett or SOMEONE to look at AMD's potential, down the road, and try to do something with the company. Facebook, Google, plenty of these companies have the money, resources, and intellect to make something happen, IF they want to.

This sounds like Someone who just bought Kaby Lake and and needs some justification lol. They have shown the 8c-16thread beating intels 8c-16thread in handbrake and blender and have also shown it beating it in at least one game bench. IPC is close to intel on this one.......Also I am tired of hearing about bulldozer and the bulldozer hype. Amd never said Bulldozer would be great or even that good, in fact they basically admitted early on that BD had latency issues and would only compete in heavily threaded apps. BD hype came from AMD fanboys not AMD. On the contrary AMD itself is saying this chip will be very good.

If the naming is true it's truly stupid as well. First of all "pro" has a strange touch to it, as it's unnecessary. Then "Z" would've been way better instead of "R". "Ryzen Z7" sounds and looks way better. "Z" is a stronger sounding letter than "R" I believe and it resembles the original "Zen" as well. I hope someone at AMD reads this and reacts to it.

Word? It's just a letter.;)

You never know..They might want to hire you after reading this thread! :D

Well they should, I'm good at such things. Hahaha

I think the scheme is simpler than what has been discussed. I think the PRO moniker is going to be better cooling since AMD talked so much about AI and automated clocking based on your cooling solution. I am thinking PRO will be the chips with a AIO including, and the X is going to be handpicked chips with better overclocking headroom. And the latter is going to be extra expensive.

You are wrong. I'm hardely waiting for replace my i7920 with a ryzen processor. I just say this paper feel strange. It's wwctech that launch it without tell us source.

Well separately I would agree, but this brings all the other rumors in line. AMD said Q1. Rumor mill said before an event that AMD will be holding a booth at on March 3rd. Rumors said 6C chips not possible, AMD rather quickly corrected this as being wrong. AMD promises more than one SKU at launch. We are exactly 1 month out and suddenly we get two "leaks" one confirming the flagship CPU final specs and now a full list. It could still all be bull&*%@, but it all seems to line up too well to me.

I will start a rumor right now. AMD releases Ryzen on March 3rd at GDC. We will get one 8 core (Flagship), one 6-core, and four 4-cores (two with SMT and two without). This will be in conjunction with Microsoft announcing that Scorpio was delayed until later this year because it will sport a custom Ryzen chip with current gen graphics chip close to the RX470.

Ahah your rumour sound better to me.

Scorpio was always slated for holiday launch. I still doubt it makes it. Even a dec launch is too late for big sales.

If you were really waiting for Ryzen you clearly haven't been paying attention . First off you called it Rizen in your first post when it's actually Ryzen . Second several tests have shown it to be on par or real close to current Intel IPC so saying things like it will take 8 of these cores to compete w Intel's 4 really doesn't make it seem like you are waiting for Ryzen. Why would you be waiting to buy a CPU that you clearly haven't studied but are more than happy to trash on...

Getting Closer to Launch is exciting.

how is 6C/12T "3.2-3.5" on parw with i5-7600k (4C/4T "3.8- 4.2")... if 8C/12T "3.0-3.6" was (and is) on par with i7-6900k (8C16T "3.2-3.7") ??? either that "6C/12T "3.2-3.5"" completely smokes that i5-7600k (and i7-7700k too) or our previous data (leaks and AMD claims presentations) was soooo off :(

I personally hope this time around we will see several highed micro-atx and itx boards with AMD's Ryzen this time otherwise we ppl who want small cases in a small form factor needs to custom build or go Intel.

i thought the 4-cores would have way higher stock mhz then the 8-cores.
maybe the boost is different and they are going the lower energy route with 4-cores.

computerbase says its false info.
https://www.computerbase.de/2017-02/ryzen-lineup-fake/
there will be no proc lower clocked then 3,4ghz and all ryzen are unlocked

It doesn't make sense....b/c it's probably fake as hell. Welcome to WCCpowerup lol

+1

But the reality is it works. I clicked the click bait. No way is AMD going to release a new CPU that is 8c16t that compares in performance to a 4c8t intel CPU. No debate the fake chart, the characters next to intel indicate performance. Not real.

I call bullshit on this list - yields from GloFo are too high for this degree of "even" market segmentation, and there's no spot in the line up for the rapidly approaching Raven's Ridge APU's.

I hope to god this is fake, 6c12t CPUs competing with i5's = just as **** as faildozer :(
