Microsoft Ending Vista Support April 11th, Says Few Older Computers Ready for 10

sounds like total nonsense, why would 7 magically be so much better than patched vista, it's only fair to compare 2009 vista to 2009 7 unless you're a dick

Nonsense? not even in the slightest, all you have to do is sit down and work on hundreds of different PC's to realize that 7 was WAY better then Vista, its night and day difference. Ether you haven't used W7/Vista at all or have no clue what your talking about. What??? compare 2009 Vista to a 2009 W7? thats the most stupidest thing ive ever heard lol I dont even get your logic with that statement, please explain?

if you dont get it, then how can it be stupid?

you want to compare 2006 launch vista with broken drivers & old hardware to 2009 7 with stable drivers??

you claim the SAME HARDWARE is freezing & broken in vista, yet 'WAY better' on 7... how? 7 isnt a completely different OS, obviously i have used both of them, yes on the same hardware, never an issue, i started vista in 2008 after the service packs so i dont have some old irrelevant memory

if you dont understand how to make a proper comparison in the same time frame (2009) on the same hardware, then that's pretty stupid

night & day is linux vs windows...

Because it makes no sense? so hence why its stupid!

No im not, im not comparing a 2006 launch vista to a 2009 7 at all, I never said that at all, YOU said that, so get your facts straight first.

Dude, its pretty clear you have no clue, so you best stop talking crap you have no idea about before you make sure self look even more silly. IF you havent used a Vista PC of any kind that is FULLY up to date vs the same PC with W7 on it FULLY up to date and dont even see the difference (which is pretty fucking clear) then sorry your wasting my time and the readers on this forum.

So by the sounds of things you have maybe tried Vista and 7 on what? 2 PC's? mate I have done HUNDREDS and 90% run like a busted ass hole even when fully up to date on Vista. Yes there are 10% that run very well on Vista but the other 90% DO NOT! Put Windows 7 on a Vista PC (as most of the drivers still work with 7 from Vista) and the machine runs so much better, smoother, faster, non of the dreaded "not responding" crap that Vista loves to do.

There is a reason why Vista failed, it sucked, period!

And there is a reason why 7 is the best and most used OS today, it worked!

oh yeah, you're such a tough guy, zero specs in your magical example, but you can speak for everyone's time & claim superiority, boast & boast without data

there is no such massive failure rate seen all over the internet with updated vista, there would only be 'this mobo has bad drivers' or 'this gpu driver fails'

drops mic? really? that doesnt sound like something an actual technician would say

God I miss DOS for games. It was THE BEST Operating System for gaming by light years. It was using virtually NO RESOURCES for itself and you could access ALL available resources. And back then producers weren't lazy like today's...
You sometimes had to fiddle with stacks and buffers, maybe move the OS to the HMA, but yes, you're right ;)

Isn't this what MS have been trying to achieve with the new Game Mode in 10?
