The product name containg OC suggests that your graphics has already been overclocked by the manufacturer. Obviously to its limit.

Nah, what limit.

Are you using the latest driver and afterburner version? What about overclocking from the driver itself?

Hello,

Is there any way of unlocking this card? http://www.gigabyte.us/Graphics-Card/GV-RX460WF2OC-2GD#kf

GV-RX460WF2OC-4GD

I can't overclock or do anything on Wattman/Afterburner, once i up 2MHZ it crashes everytime...

Regards,

Before you do anything: reduce the GPU voltage. The card has power limit set at 48W which you keep currently hitting, and that's why it's crashing/throttling. You can reduce the voltages via Wattman. I suggest you use 10 mV decrements for the State 5, 6 and 7 and test stability afterwards. Use 3D mark/Unigine and don't bother with Furmark. After you get artifacts, increase the voltage 10 mV and you are done. I was able to reduce my voltage on my 2 GB Gigabyte RX 460 by more than 10%.

After the voltages are set, you can start with the OC. Try to push the clock up 10 or 20 MHz and run 3D Mark/Unigine. Closely watch for artefacts/boost clock fluctuation (use afterburner). If your boost clock doesn't hit the OC, then you are at the power limit again. You can increase the latter in wattman, but since your GPU has no power connector, be very careful. The additional power will be transferred from your PCI-E slot and if the Motherboard is cheap, it can cause problems. I suggest you don't go over 15% additional power limit.

You could try unlocking the CUs, but beware: BIOS flashing is risky. You can find instructions and unlocked files elsewhere on the internet.

I could manage to get stable 1260Mhz by doing some tweaks on MSI Afterburner and upping Power Limit to +20%, i didn't touch voltage since i have 0 knowledge about it.

There goes your motherboard.

It's really not worth risking your system trying to overclock a cheap, low performance card like that. You're much better off upgrading it to something better.
