Because at Radeon cards it was malfunctioning and 120 Hz was running fine because it simply is 2x60 Hz, whereas 144 isn't. Also, comparing 144 Hz to reducing a Ferrari from 600 to 400PS is just laughable - please don't use car analogies if you're too stupid to properly use them. It's more like going down 20 PS not, 200. 120 Hz is largely if not 99,9% the same as 144 Hz. I guess you're also tricking yourself into believing your eyes can see the difference, nice placebo. Next time, try to be thankful or at least respectful and not smash down helpful suggestions.

You do realize Nvidia makes every G-Sync module. You are implying that their close ecosystem for VRR isn't optimal at their advertised speeds.

I would just go with aging monitor. G-Sync/T-Com is acting up. Thats if he can use the monitor in static hz fine.

Did you by any chance miss the part where I said that I sense a vibrating image at anything below 144Hz (which I don't know if it's a common thing or just with this particular monitor or it's just my eyes being more sensitive than most of you have)? Don't complain over car analogies if you don't read the entire thing... for me it's like going 200 HP down if my eyes hurt afterwards because of it...

EDIT:
Tried 120Hz and no thanks. I can even sense it on a mouse cursor motion which is just not as smooth as at 144Hz.

Yeah I get what you say. It's okay. Next time try to stay normal and don't jump. You're pretty much nerdraging 24/7 here. Every newspost you're like this, I see a "Rejzor" post and it's always like this. You have too many 1st world issues my friend.

Like what? Do you see me complaining over 5820K that I have? Do you see me complaining over the Samsung 850 Pro SSD I have? Did you see me complain over ASUS RT-AC87U router I have? Did you see me complaining over HD7950 that I had before I bought NVIDIA graphics cards with "perfect" software? It just might be that I complain over shit products? Ever thought of that? Gee, must be a real shocker to you doesn't it? Someone complaining over shit products. Totally unforeseen thing done literally by billions of people daily. But I stand out because you're personally annoyed by it. Why should I care? Use Ignore feature and move on. I don't care. Why should I coddle NVIDIA just because it has the most stubborn fanboys who praise it to death no matter what?

I'm not at all annoyed by you, I'm just wondering why you're so aggressive at people trying to help you and in general. You're complaining pretty much everywhere it's easier to say you're "always" complaining than to count those few things you're not complaining about. Go through your own post history :D Anyway, this is offtopic .. good luck with your stuff.

Yeah, well, you gave a suggestion and I politely replied that I cannot use anything below 144Hz because my eyes sense that something is off and I cannot use that.

Well rejzor are you using standard hdmi or dvi cable to the 144hz monitor

DisplayPort v1.3. DVI needs to be Dual Link which was too short and it's just too bulky where HDMI, due to limitations on monitor side, only allows 60Hz...

That ok rejzor did you have a read of the link i posted about bandwidth? Im sure you can find cables with longer length to fit your set up on the monitor

Another interesting read about the kelper card running at 4k60 it stated something 4.4.4 compression to 4.2.2 runs better as something about bandwidth in colors and textures

Try this one

https://www.blurbusters.com/howto-low-lag-vsync-on/

Even if it doesn't fix your problem, this should be a standard procedure now on any high refresh gaming rig. Have tried and never going back, and this is also the definitive middle finger to G sync premium for me. Ironically.... the above even runs like a charm on the dreaded 388.13 driver, which is somehow once again present on my rig right now... the joys of W10.

You do realize Nvidia makes every G-Sync module. You are implying that their close ecosystem for VRR isn't optimal at their advertised speeds.

I would just go with aging monitor. G-Sync/T-Com is acting up. Thats if he can use the monitor in static hz fine.

Its easy to imply that because Gsync still has its quirks and its problems, most notably at very high refresh rates, which honestly isn't its primary (or even intended) use case.

Beyond 100-120hz > Fast Sync
Below > Gsync or whatever else you got

The last driver finally fixed my issues with the mouse cursor going under the image/ open window.
Or it was fixed when I got the "custom resolutions" mod set the resolution to my monitors native resolution and changed the refresh rate to 67hz...
Did both at the same time.

I just remembered , Opera always used to tear , even when I had a 5770 , unlikely that this is driver related. Only solution was to disable HW acceleration if I remember correctly.

I believe new driver bricked my card. Just updated it and few days later afyer booting it i can only get bios splash screen. This on gigbyte gtx 770

Sounds like the card bit the dust , can't really brick a card with a driver.

If it goes past the BIOS sequence into the boot portion and then a black screen try entering Safemode.

No. Like 3 months ago it was the inverted situation. Adaptive V-Sync didn't tear Youtube in Opera. But Fast V-Sync did. It's like a circus going in circles reporting same stupid problems to NVIDIA... I mean, if one feature subset has problems, how about telling your stupid QA team to check the entire feature against the reported bug? Is that really too much to expect from a competent professional team of people working on a piece of software? I mean I'm an outside QA member in some other company and even I know what's a systematic feature or issue testing. You poke the component step by step until you poke it in all possible ways. If someone tells me V-Sync is problematic in Opera when viewing Youtube, is it really so damn hard to fire up an image tear test in Youtube (there are plenty already there) and test every single mode and then tell the code monkeys to fix what you observed? Instead I, as an user ended up doing their god damn work and doing exactly this. And in the end they were still resisting with "uh oh, but you can't use image tearing tests". No, i'm suppose to look at normal videos for hours trying to spot tears when tear test shows you clearly in 5 seconds without fucking around. I don't know, it's like they employ idiots or something. I don't know.

Everything suggest something is wrong with Opera and it has been like this for a long time. You can wait for a driver fix but it may never arrive.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I think it should be supported, Opera, but, 1% or so of users using it, I doubt its high on the list. :(

Is there a reason you stick with it and do not use Chrome/FF/Safari or Edge even to reduce this frustration when you YT?

Also, what vids are doing the tearing? I just DL Opera and have a 1080 FTW 2 (388.13) and haven't seen any through a quick few minutes with adaptive enabled..

EDIT: Disregard... I don't have a high Hz monitor so........ yeah.:slap:
