Sapphire Intros Pulse Radeon RX 560 LITE Series Graphics Cards

Sapphire today rolled out its Pulse Radeon RX 560 LITE series graphics cards, which implement the 896 stream-processor variant of the "Polaris 21" silicon, as opposed to the better endowed 1,024 SP version the RX 560 SKU originally launched with. The card is available in 2 GB and 4 GB variants, and comes slightly factory-overclocked, with its GPU engine clock bumped to 1300 MHz, while the memory is clocked at 7.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective). The card itself features a slightly more beefed-up product design as opposed to the original Pulse RX 560.

While the original Pulse RX 560-series cards feature a simple copper core aluminium fan-heatsink cooler, in which a single chunk of aluminium with radially (well, spirally) projecting fins, ventilated by a single fan keeps the GPU cool; the new Pulse RX 560 LITE series features a slightly larger, rectangular aluminium heatsink, ventilated by two fans; with a separate heatsink over the VRM. The card draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Expect the card to be priced around the $100-mark (MSRP, not marked up to kingdom come by retailers).

For the desperate late to the party people attempting to create a mining rig without selling all 2 kidneys. 560s are awful choices for a decent mining rig.

Inferior to GTX 1050 in all regards, unfortunately for AMD. GTX 1050 isn't overpriced by miners here in the UK and can be up to 30% faster for £10 more than RX 560 in some cases.

RX 560 (especially the D version) doesn't need a 6 pin connector but the only reason that they have one is to provide "Better oc ceiling" probably. :/

Has nothing to do with efficiency , the 560 can easily run on just the PCIe slot. Blame the retarded AIBs for placing unnecessary power connectors on all cards to make them look "beefier".

Mine bearly reaches 47W with OC. Sapphire Pulse "Lite" 2GB, have it in a secondary rig. In this pic Shadow Warrior 2 is running in 1080p high settings. Got it new at about 85 euros before this mining madness came.

I prefer this setup for mining. They pull pretty close to the max for a pcie slot when configured for anything core heavy. If it does that mining it does it gaming.

Also for the comments early it is just a baffin core with one section disabled. I have yet to see one of these or the 896SP 460 not unlock smoothly. So hopefully these are the same way.

Cause at that time most case didn't have tempered glass or acrylic windows but now does. Card with backplate looks good on these windowed case. And some GTX 1050 has backplate, so as direct competitor to it some RX 560 like this should have a backplate.

It just adds cost on low end cards. IMO these should be as cheap as possible, backplate would just increase the price.

How much a plastic backplate would cost? $0.25 or $0.50 or $1? Don't need metal backplate for these low power GPUs.

Plastic would only make the card hotter, especially in cramped cases with no wire management or airflow.

Card like RX 560 or GTX 1050 are low power. These card are not that much hot as RX 570 or GTX 1060. So plastic will just fine.
