Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to Shed Single-Player Campaign; Doubling Down on Zombies, MP

3 personal comments:
1. Cod Games do suck, the campaign or single player was the decent part,
2.Blackops 1 was a promise of new single player story, but game ended decently well, then BO II and the futuristic crap, well, game ended after 1st one, dunno why still have numbers like a saga,
3 . COD multiplayer is cancer, server, players and cheats....

Have a nice day, get a beer if possible!

thanks...

Same here, mainly played sp since cod1 and have just recently replayed cod4 sp and started ww2, this is about less development, more profit and probably soon in game transactions etc, guess that's me done with cod for good.

To me, I felt that BlackOps should of been an Expansionpack, sort of like how Joint Ops-Combined Arms was.

Honestly I only play COD for the Zombies and the MP side of things, story mode didnt really interest me unless it was co-op like COD World at War, that been said I enjoyed the story/Single player in Modern Warfare 1, it was good.

So bring this on im all for it but will it be at a discounted price?

Great, another CoD I can skip. Been doing that since the first BLOPS and boy do I like my life right now.

The MP... it was never really that good except in split screen couch gaming (CoD: MW) and not taking it too seriously. Online was utter junk, lack of dedi servers, crappy matchmaking, noscope bullshit, the list is endless. Comparisons to Quake... perhaps if you were really bad at Quake then, because CoD is childs play in comparison, within a week you know the maps and all the camp spots and map packs made it even worse, with half the community split off.

Zombies... :kookoo:

Nope, only buy them for the SP. Not played MP since MW2 despite owning them all up to this point.

I've always played and finished the SP campaigns of the entire series. Does this decision upset me? Not really. I don't buy the games for the SP content; I buy it for the MP.

With that said, they should lower the price of the game if they take out SP since it is less cost for them.

I will keep an eye on this title. As long as they keep it boots-on-the-ground style then I'll enjoy it. I hated all of that wall-walking and double-jumping boost crap.

I know that most people here are very anti-CoD, as it might be "too mainstream yuk", but it has a very unique style of gameplay me and many others seek.

MP is what it is all about, and hopefully we could get something that resembled what we had in BO1-2.
Dedicated servers with a normal console to manage them, proper mechanics and weapons, and balanced maps

ps. there's a free game that has (had?) an open beta named Ironsight, i would recommand trying it. It tries to replicate the MW\BO experience.
Um, this is CoD. Why would they ever give you back the ability to use dedicated servers when they can simply pull the plug and force you to buy the newest version?

I'm sure activision will pull SP from the games, but you wont be getting anything else of value for it. You will play the same price for a portion of the game, and you will enjoy it, welcome to video games. It's happened before with battlefront and rainbow six, and it will happen again.
