PUBG Has Sold 50 Million Copies, 400 Million Players Total

PUBG Corp. just announced that they have reached the incredible number of 50 million units sold on the platforms PC and Xbox One. When including PUBG Mobile, they have over 400 million registered players world-wide, with over 87 million of them playing PUBG every single day.

To celebrate this epic milestone, they have decided to have the first ever sale of PUBG, at a price of $17.99, until July 5th. Could be that sales are going down, possibly driven by Epic's Fortnite, which has a bigger player base now, and is available for more platforms.

Today we've got a very big announcement: With Xbox and PC sales combined, PUBG has now sold over 50 million units worldwide. With PUBG Mobile included, there are now over 400 million registered PUBG players worldwide. Over 87 million people play PUBG every day across all our platforms.

To celebrate these new milestones, we're putting PUBG on sale on Steam from June 19th (later today!) through July 5th. If you want to pick up the game for the first time or gift it to a friend, you'll be able to grab it for just $19.99 (33.33% off the normal price).

We're genuinely humbled by PUBG's ongoing success and growth, and we're incredibly optimistic about the game's future. We're going to keep working on new content and improvements for all versions of the game. We know there's still so much we can do to make PUBG a better game for our players.

Agree. It's fun to play few matches of PUBG sometimes, but this genre isn't that much special that I should play it hours every day, like I usually do on other shooters.

And Fortnite is just a poor man's PUBG.

Quake Champions is more fun and also free. I used to think different champions with different abilities were silly, but they kinda work actually. You can't beat good old DM and TDM. Battle Royale came and will be forgotten, but DM and TDM are still around for decades. It just works and ensures carnage.

Dramatic much? Sorry you don't like battle royale games but not everyone has the time to sit through hours and hours of story line/game play.

These game play appeals to the masses and I, along with many of my friends, enjoy the ease of partying up, playing a few games and calling it quits for the evening.

Just because you don't like a game doesn't mean it's crap.

Also the battle royale of Fortnite is free as you know and if you spend $10 bucks the first time you play it you're basically guaranteed the battle pass for the life of the game and all the unlocks that come with it... pretty great value. (unless they raise the cost)

Some people are shitting on a game the dont play or know because they like another style of game; you know what; its OKAY to have different types of games to play. I dont get why so many people get salty over different genres. Take me for instance; I dont play cars sims or play super mario smash bro's but I can see that others have fun with it, so good that we are not all 100% alike! To be honest I rarely encounter cheaters on the EU servers and I have played 460 hours or so + experimental. The Asian servers is rumored to be infested but the EU is not (at least not the 500-750 games I have played. If you base your comment on deathcam, then they are not remotely able to determin if people cheat due to the netcode allocating stupid low updaterate to that part.

There's no bias in what i say, it's just the truth, and it's just the picture of what's happening.
Not all game i dislike i insult, because it's possible that it's just me not liking them, this isn't part of them, this is crap, and you should admit you like it, i mean there's nothing wrong with it, me, myself like many crap movies or videogames, but the difference is i wouldn't act that pissed if someone came to me a said "hey that game is fkin crap", actually i wouldn't be pissed at all, because i'm actually able to distinguish between "crap" and "stuff i don't like".
Also i never said you shouldn't enjoy it or anything, i would never, who am i to do that? On the other side, i can say when a game has a poor design and aims at casual players (for easy money), due to my pretty long past in videogames, and i'm also pretty sure i could "teach" some of that to most of the players who play that crap.

I was hating on both games as well, but PubG actually is a competetive game that pretty much changed the landscapes with me on gaming online.

I mean; who would have believe 10 years back, that these types of games would hit the roof? Land somewhere, grab your loot (if you survive the first 2 minutes that is) and continue on until the end, any fucking thing can happen, and that is what makes this game very great.

@grunt_408 and listened to their players. On top of that, they should have not file a pointless lawsuit to sue Epic Games. One obvious reason they do that coz of being butthurt that Fortnite took their #1 spot as the fastest growing battle royale game. Them (PUBG corp) suing Epic in S. Korea is gonna have a massive backlash if they won the case.

Thats been around since Quake.

Is so backwards.
Then again pc's have gone backwards...
Eg icons in windows where 16 colour, 256colour and 16bit colour.
Windows 10 the default is monochrome or 2 colour....

So it no surprise they rebrand some old crap as something new take out all the good bits and it sells.
