In a campaign to eliminate child pornography on the internet, the Swedish Police have been working with Swedish ISP's to find and block the sites that host child pornography. Swedish patrons of The Pirate Bay got a nasty surprise one day when they tried to access The Pirate Bay and got nothing more than an error message. Infuriated webmasters of the infamous website have tried to get the Swedish Police to unblock them. The Swedish standpoint is simple. The Pirate Bay can either eliminate all child pornography from their website by Tuesday, or accept that nobody using a Swedish ISP can access The Pirate Bay.

They're obviously going for cheap shots.

But TBP removed child pr0n anyways, so this'll be a non issue.

Without due process, what does it matter anyway? They'll still cite it as their reason. Whether it's there is of no matter when the issue is cronyism and back room deals with no due process.

This one is simple to get around though.. just remove the illegal stuff.

Which just shows they're out of options

And didn't the Swedish Police hack into TPB's servers and uploaded the child pr0n themselves?

this is sad hey while there being commis why dont they block everything about freedom on the internet to :nutkick:

This is almost the same as chaining doors shut on some Best Buy, because they are selling xbox360:s that killed one guy, who was trying to get it's heat issues in order and removed the cover and got electrocuted. Then leaving a notice on the door "remove all xbox360s or you're out of business". Why not shut down Swedish police, we know for a fact that there is child pornography there and someone is watching it on work! Maybe even from Pirate Bay, so even warezing at the same time, someone should arrest them.

Just too obvious that they came up with this idea after being pissed about when last shutdown didn't do anything good. Hate when we are supposed to obey the law, but goverment can bend it like it wishes for.

Don't need to hack the servers, you can upload them yourself :p

But I'd say its likely they planted some.

Anyone looking at or hosting child pornography needs to be shot and killed. That is just so sick.

meh, no loss.
Plenty of other ways to get your trackers lol.

Not that I advocate piracy, but sometimes its necessary. My dad pays thousands of dollars a year on CAD software and I just dont have that kind of money lol.

To be honest, PB hosts none of this - they are only a tracker.

However, PB should remove this kind of thing if possible, especially if its hosted on their trackers (and not just linked from searches)

The good old voice of reason.. :toast:
Anyone who has sex outside of marriage needs to be shot and killed. That is just so sick.

A voice of reason would not shoot and kill anyone it thinks morally objectionable to it. The zeitgeist changes constantly, in the middle ages it was normal for children to be married to middle aged people, and in India, it's still widely accepted to marry as young as 12.

Reason would be to find another solution, such as behavioural therapy. Just condition it out of them.

na .. I agree they are sick and should be hung to save the money on bullets ...

electric chair=faster

ehh whatever 16gauge to back of head prob solved

I have heard electric shock therapy works wonders, it's been proven !!!

Common now, there are fires all over the world. Stretch them out on hot coals! Why give them the easy way out. If they're stupid enough to do it shoot them if their stupid enough to post it make them suffer (actually I'd make them suffer either way . . .).

I find it ironic that everyone is up in arms against an illegal company hosting illegal content being banned by a law enforcement agency. If they are smart they will get around it anyway. The law is always on catchup.

Sorry, I've seen multiple posts around about this topic. A lot of people have been upset that Sweden has blocked Pirate Bay. Up in arms may have been a little strong, sry.
