Why is this even here?

This is simply a cheap shot for a posting mistake on a website.. with what I can only assume is the hope that the OP will achieve internet glory by having a thread go viral by exploiting what is likely a non native English speaker trying to list the item on their website.

OP should think twice before trying to create a viral shit storm over nothing... It says right on the box.

So you skimmed the article missed the fact its an editorial poking fun at there mistake and the fact every product marketed to us has to have Gamer something in the title these days or Gaming.

Crazyeyes is a very very credible staff member and is respected by the other staff, i can assure you this article was allowed from the admin. Staff are trusted here too so they are allowed to be creative. I respect the way this site is run.

Literally remove the Gamer part and its all good. They also have 3-4 different monikers for there GPUs, if they simple stuck with something rather than reinventing the wheel every 6 months by using a solid product naming scheme problems like this wouldn't really come about. Product names have gone to shit and yeah I ran with it. Hopefully companies will realize they they have been riding the Gaming / Gamer nutsack into the ground for long enough.

Solid branding helps companies avoid pitfalls like this, simply taking buzzwords, colors, and Gamer / Gaming = shit product names. Here it ended up with what I would considering a funny marketing failure since at this point between the website and their box this GPU is essentially a:

GALAX GeForce RTX 2080 EXOC SNPR GAMER WHITE or White Gamer as the site has it listed currently. let me add more acronyms and buzzwords.

GALAX GeForce RTX 2080 EXOC HOF SNPR GAMER WHITE

GALAX GeForce RTX 2080 EXOC HOF SNPR GAMER WHITE RGB

I can keep going..... really its pretty much endless the shitty combinations with the buzzwords and awful branding for pretty much all companies at this point.
I find it funny when you poke a bit of fun at something people always get there panties in a bunch. Oh well :toast:
