A quick trip to see Patriot at CES 2019 netted us a chance to look over a massive number of products from SSDs and DDR4 memory, to flash drives and Micro SD cards. In general, when it comes to anything memory or storage related they had everything but the kitchen sink on hand. That said, let's start with system memory. To begin with, they had their Signature Line on hand which uses a simple black aluminum heatshield and comes in capacities up to 16 GB per module with speeds up to 2666 MHz. For a single 16 GB stick at 2666 MHz the listed the timings at 19-19-19-43. Next was the new Viper Steel DDR4 SODIMMs with capacity that ranged from 8 GB to 32 GB and feature XMP 2.0 support for automatic overclocking. As for speeds they top out at 3000 MHz for these kits. Next up was the Viper RGB memory which comes in speeds of up to 4133 MHz and with timings listed at 19-21-21-41. They are also compatible with motherboard RGB sync applications and have been tested on the latest Intel and AMD platforms. Last but not least were the Viper Steel kits which top out at 4400 MHz with 19-19-19-39 timings.
When it comes to Flash storage Patriot had their Viper VPN100 series NVMe SSD on hand. For these drives, they used the Phison E12 controller and the 2280 m.2 form factor. Capacities range from 256 GB to 2 TB with sequential read and write speeds listed at 3450 MB/s and 3000 MB/s respectively. Meanwhile, their standard SATA III SSD simple called Viper is nothing you haven't seen before. It uses a Phison S12 controller and comes in 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities. Read and write speeds top out at 550 MB/s and 530 MB/s respectively with 4K Random reads and writes reach up to 100k IOPs read and 90K IOPS write. Keeping this short, they also had USB drives on hand to fit any occasion with capacities ranging from 32 GB all the way up to 512 GB and speeds that depending on the model can reach up to 400 MB/s
They also had MicroSD cards on hand including the EP V30 A1 which comes in capacities up to 512GB. It can hit read speeds of 100 MB/s and a Class 10, U3 offering that is capable of 4K recording. They also had the LX V10 A1 and LX V10 MicroSD cards on hand as well. The LX V10 A1 has capacities up to 256 GB and is rated as a Class 10, U1 MicroSD card. Read speeds top out at 90 MB/s with it having no problems handling 1080p FULL HD recording. As for pricing, you can pick them up from Patriot direct for $13.99 to $55.99 depending on capacity. In regards to the LX V10, it has the same features but maxes out at 128 GB in capacity and can be had for $10.49 to $27.99 again depending upon the capacity. All three come with SD adapters included which is always nice.
We also took a moment to check out the EVLVR Thunderbolt 3 external SSD. It offers blazing fast performance with read and write speeds of up to 1600 MB/s and 1000 MB/s respectively. Portable and with a 2-year warranty the EVLVR external SSD is available now with the 512 GB costing $243.99 while the 1 TB will set you back $380.99 from Patriot direct.
