CORSAIR, a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today announced the availability of a new kit of its award-winning CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 Memory, setting a new record for commercially available high-frequency DRAM with clock speeds up to an incredible 4,866 MHz. This blazingly fast memory is now available in a 2x 8 GB kit, reaching its full potential in systems with new 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors and X570 motherboards.

VENGEANCE LPX has long pushed the limits of performance memory, and continues that tradition today thanks to the partnership between CORSAIR and AMD. While fully compatible with most modern platforms, the new modules have been specifically designed and fully tested to achieve their record-breaking maximum frequency of 4,866 MHz on the Ryzen 3000 platform in ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Formula, MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE, and MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION motherboards using their included automated overclocking utilities.

Even when playing at maximum settings, high-performance kits of VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 Memory keep temperatures down with an included optional VENGEANCE Airflow Fan for direct cooling of the memory modules, available in silver, blue, or red to match your system's style.

"We're excited for CORSAIR to be the first to bring this unprecedented speed of DRAM to the market," said Reimar Goetze, Senior Manager of Memory Products at CORSAIR. "Our loyal following of PC enthusiasts expects us to always push the envelope for high-end components, so we wouldn't settle for anything less."

For PC gamers looking to light up their systems while still achieving exceptional performance, VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 Memory is also available in frequencies up to an impressive 4,700 MHz. Each VENGEANCE RGB PRO module features ten individually addressable RGB LEDs each, programmable through CORSAIR iCUE software for near-limitless colors and dynamic multi-layer effects that can be synchronized system-wide with the lighting on all compatible CORSAIR components and devices.

With record-setting performance in today's most advanced systems, the CORSAIR VENGEANCE family of performance DRAM pushes the boundaries of what's possible for cutting-edge custom PCs.

Availability
CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 Memory and VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 Memory are available immediately from the CORSAIR webstore and the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors.

VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 Memory and VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 Memory are backed by a two-year warranty and the CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network.

I clicked on the links for both sets of memory and the pages say the warranty is limited lifetime not 2 years as indicated in the article

backed by a two-year warranty

It shows how hard are they pushing the silicon. Lifetime warranty on generics vs 2 years.
Might reach 4000 max after 3 years of usage, or maybe even lower than that.

didnt G.skill just set a new mhz-record? (But that was OC'ed of course.)

It should be 4866MT/s not 4866MHz. A 4866MHz would really revolutionize the pc industry.

We are approaching end of life for DDR4 so i really don't get these insane prices for those high speed DDR4 kits considering DDR5 is coming next year and will bring much higher speeds for much lower price to the table ! If for some reason you need 4800MT ram in 2019 and by reason i mean if your life depends on it  then yeah you could kinda justify the price KINDA but for anyone else it would be really stupid to throw this amount of money for what will become low tier kit in the very near future .

It's definitely for a niche , imagine ryzen at those speeds it might overcome the ratio performance reduction.

I thought only G-Skill has callous prices... /facepalm

AMD isn't bringing out AM5 / DDR5 until 2021 stating that they're supporting socket AM4 through 2020. Intel might but eh, it'd be a bit of a gimmick.

The real question is how many extra FPS does this add, with what hardware and what is the premium for it? It's fairly impressive though I do agree it's use is limited. My next build won't go past 3,600 unless there is no real price difference.

Gskill 4800Mhz half the price...duh.

Corsair attempting to remain relevant. I wouldn't buy a $10flashdrive from that awful company.

Corsair-FREE, and proud of it.

Awful? How?

So what motherboards are they compatible with, i know in the past vengeance ram just wnr on any AMD system especially asus mobos

People are comparing this to the G.Skill 4800 kit which is much cheaper and has been out for a long time... and failing to realize that besides CAS latency, the G.Skill kit has way tighter timings, at only a 66MHz deficit... Corsair has been almost irrelevant with their DDR4 lineup, G.Skill has everything on lock.
