I miss the old MX700 shape, also don't need all those buttons, but that mouse still looks way better that G502 Wireless.

Also - AA battery and long time before charges - perfect. Easy to get new ones, if the old ones reach their lifespan etc.

Some anti-cheat don't ban but just plain block Macro from engaging. I wanted to try out pistol burst shot macro via Logitech Gaming Software. It works in Terrorist Hunt (single-player/co-op mode of R6S) but doesn't do anything in Casual/Ranked live PvP. R6S use Battleye last I played.

I really thought Logi's next mouse will be their answer to the recent ultralight/honeycomb grill fad. A sub-60g mouse with their Hero/3366 sensor would be awesome. And if they release a wireless version later too would just kill it. Atm only niche companies like Finalmouse and PCGR are making ultralight mice. Cooler Master also entered the fray but they haven't been consistent with their mice/peripheral production.

The improvements in wireless tech however ARE real, and I will say, this G604 might be the one that wins me over, the only thing now is that price. 100 eur for a rodent (especially tailless ) is a LOT of money, IMO anything over 40 and it had better be something truly special. I'll pay 20 for the wireless gimmick, but more? Nah.

Based on information. Yes - the Hero sensor in this G604 is inferior to the Pixart PMW3366 But not many people will be able to really tell the difference.

Using G603 for over a year now. I like everything except "cheapified" build quality. Buttons are noisy AF, scroll is rattling like crazy, but from the technical perspective it's very-very impressive.
Sensor is more than adequate, polling is nearly indistinguishable from wired, and batteries last a long time. I think the pair of AA's that it came with lasted around 9-10mo (using "green mode" most of the time, except in Quake). If this one has similar internals, then you could use it with just one AA battery for weight reduction, but I'm an old-school heavy mouse buff, so I have both installed all the time and it's about as heavy as my old G5 config with a few "dumbbells" in the cartridge.

Truthfully very few people will be able to tell the difference and not without special equipment or specific criteria.

Finally i can upgrade from my G602. Using AA batteries is a must. Instead of dealing wiith sealed batteries that die and/or lose their charge very fast after a few years due to recharge cycles.
Tho i am a little scared that it lasts only 10 days when using Lightspeed connection. Hopefully that's a conservative estimate based on the mouse never being idle during that time. My G602 uses older RF connection at 500Hz polling rate and batteries last about 60 days.

Oh and since this uses AA instead of sealed battery there is no need to buy Powerplay wireless charging mousepad that costs as much as the mouse itself. So while 100 bucks may seem much it's actually cheaper than getting G502 or G Pro from scratch. And problably lasts longer too due to user swappable batteries.

I wonder if the scroll wheel can switch between regular or hyperscroll modes? That's my main complaint with G602 that it only has regular scroll.

They already have that. It's called G Pro. It is 80g. Wireless tech does add weight so i doubt they can make it much lighter even with honeycomb. Yes the others are around 60g but none of them are wireless.

Like i said - unlike G Pro or G502 Lightspeed you do't need to buy the Powerplay charging mat that costs as much as the mouse itself. So G604 will end up cheaper in any case compared to those two. But there are cheaper Lightspeed mice available from Logitech. For example G305 Lightspeed at around 40-50 bucks.

Yeah, it really sucks. I have a nice set of rechargeable batteries, but still have to change them every other day, with minimal use.

Well, I will chime in to say the shape of this mouse (much like G502) is not very shooter friendly unless you play at very high sens. And if you do thát, you're not truly competitive - good, perhaps and sure, but not (amateur) esport level competitive.
