Logitech G, a brand of Logitech, and leading innovator of gaming technologies and gear, today announced the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse. A next-generation wireless mouse with amazing battery life, the G604 LIGHTSPEED was designed for gamers who love to game, but also need a versatile tool that can be used for a variety of tasks.

"If you're into games such as Fortnite and WoW Classic, then this just might be the mouse you're looking for," said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech Gaming. "The G604 LIGHTSPEED was designed to have six thumb buttons, so you can play at your best, and fly through actions and tasks in a heartbeat, giving you complete control. When you combine this with our LIGHTSPEED Wireless technology you get freedom of movement to take your game even farther."

The G604 LIGHTSPEED features Logitech G's exclusive LIGHTSPEED Wireless technology for lag-free connectivity, as well as Logitech G's best-in-class High Efficiency Rated Optical (HERO) 16K Sensor, delivering precise gameplay and improved power efficiency with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration. In addition, gamers can switch from LIGHTSPEED to a Bluetooth connection with a push of a button, and toggle between two different machines with one mouse. This mouse offers 240 hours of high-performance wireless gaming when using LIGHTSPEED Wireless and up to 5.5 months using Bluetooth, all on one AA battery. The customizable G604 LIGHTSPEED features 15 programmable controls, a dual-mode hyper-fast scroll wheel and a six-pack of thumb buttons.

To help gamers get the most from their gear, the G604 LIGHTSPEED can be programmed using Logitech's G HUB software. Featuring a clean and modern interface, the advanced gaming software allows gamers to quickly personalize and customize commands for each button on their mouse.

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse is expected to be available at global retailers in Fall 2019 for a suggested retail price of $99.99.

Or get banned in an instant for using macros :D

I miss the old MX700 shape, also don't need all those buttons, but that mouse still looks way better that G502 Wireless.

Also - AA battery and long time before charges - perfect. Easy to get new ones, if the old ones reach their lifespan etc.

Some anti-cheat don't ban but just plain block Macro from engaging. I wanted to try out pistol burst shot macro via Logitech Gaming Software. It works in Terrorist Hunt (single-player/co-op mode of R6S) but doesn't do anything in Casual/Ranked live PvP. R6S use Battleye last I played.

anutha day, anutha tailess rodent....yawn......

back to nappy time kiddies :)

Looks nice. Maybe too much buttons as Dammeron mentioned. I like the scroll wheel tho, it's what's keeping me from buying the G603.

Your username checks out. Never change my dude.

I really thought Logi's next mouse will be their answer to the recent ultralight/honeycomb grill fad. A sub-60g mouse with their Hero/3366 sensor would be awesome. And if they release a wireless version later too would just kill it. Atm only niche companies like Finalmouse and PCGR are making ultralight mice. Cooler Master also entered the fray but they haven't been consistent with their mice/peripheral production.

I'm pretty glad they didn't jump on that silly bandwagon yet.

The improvements in wireless tech however ARE real, and I will say, this G604 might be the one that wins me over, the only thing now is that price. 100 eur for a rodent (especially tailless :D) is a LOT of money, IMO anything over 40 and it had better be something truly special. I'll pay 20 for the wireless gimmick, but more? Nah.

Was wondering when they would release the successor to the original G603. This appears to be it.

A user on Techpowerup was saying the old sensor is better like on the G900. Does anyone have a opinion on this as i'm confused which is the better sensor.

Based on information. Yes - the Hero sensor in this G604 is inferior to the Pixart PMW3366 But not many people will be able to really tell the difference.

Using G603 for over a year now. I like everything except "cheapified" build quality. Buttons are noisy AF, scroll is rattling like crazy, but from the technical perspective it's very-very impressive.
Sensor is more than adequate, polling is nearly indistinguishable from wired, and batteries last a long time. I think the pair of AA's that it came with lasted around 9-10mo (using "green mode" most of the time, except in Quake). If this one has similar internals, then you could use it with just one AA battery for weight reduction, but I'm an old-school heavy mouse buff, so I have both installed all the time and it's about as heavy as my old G5 config with a few "dumbbells" in the cartridge.

+1. Most people don't even play above 2500cpi, and tracking-wise there is barely any difference at that sensitivity level.

Truthfully very few people will be able to tell the difference and not without special equipment or specific criteria.

Finally i can upgrade from my G602. Using AA batteries is a must. Instead of dealing wiith sealed batteries that die and/or lose their charge very fast after a few years due to recharge cycles.
Tho i am a little scared that it lasts only 10 days when using Lightspeed connection. Hopefully that's a conservative estimate based on the mouse never being idle during that time. My G602 uses older RF connection at 500Hz polling rate and batteries last about 60 days.

Oh and since this uses AA instead of sealed battery there is no need to buy Powerplay wireless charging mousepad that costs as much as the mouse itself. So while 100 bucks may seem much it's actually cheaper than getting G502 or G Pro from scratch. And problably lasts longer too due to user swappable batteries.

I wonder if the scroll wheel can switch between regular or hyperscroll modes? That's my main complaint with G602 that it only has regular scroll.

I do.

Its all about the extra weight though and how that effects the 'balance' of a mouse. it could be very front or back heavy. Since this is marketed towards MMO/RPG players. weight isnt really an issue.

They already have that. It's called G Pro. It is 80g. Wireless tech does add weight so i doubt they can make it much lighter even with honeycomb. Yes the others are around 60g but none of them are wireless.

Don't care. G6xx has never been for competitive FPS players. So i don't really care about the weight.

Like i said - unlike G Pro or G502 Lightspeed you do't need to buy the Powerplay charging mat that costs as much as the mouse itself. So G604 will end up cheaper in any case compared to those two. But there are cheaper Lightspeed mice available from Logitech. For example G305 Lightspeed at around 40-50 bucks.

FINALLY! Been looking for a wireless replacement of my G700 for years! Gonna buy this in a heartbeat

I think the user that said the old sensor is better could be a real pro player, so I will stay with my G900.

I still love the G700 too bad the battery longevity sucks.

Thats your own personal opinion though. If you were the only customer they needed to cater for that bought their loot, then you would be in the right place. Maybe there are FPs players that like the shape of the mouse and the extra buttons.

Yeah, it really sucks. I have a nice set of rechargeable batteries, but still have to change them every other day, with minimal use.

Well, I will chime in to say the shape of this mouse (much like G502) is not very shooter friendly unless you play at very high sens. And if you do thát, you're not truly competitive - good, perhaps and sure, but not (amateur) esport level competitive.
