A VGA Stand with RGB LED and Power Routing, Courtesy DeepCool

DeepCool rolled out the GH-01, a graphics card reinforcement stand that you install inside your tower-type case, to minimize PCB bending over time (a vastly exaggerated phenomenon). But wait, it does more: the stand has an RGB LED embellishment along its length, and has space to route your graphics card's power cables. Up to two 8-pin PCIe power cables can be routed. You use a thumb-screw and notches to adjust the GH-01's VGA support height from 47.2 mm to 154 mm. The stand itself measures 52.6 mm x 60.6 mm x 163.73 mm (WxDxH). It can bear a load of up to 5 kg. There are two sub-variants of the GH-01 based on the illumination type. The GH-01 RGB uses old-school RGB lighting through 12 V 4-pin RGB control. The GH-01 LED, on the other hand, uses more modern 5 V addressable-RGB over a 3-pin connector. The company didn't reveal pricing.

I removed the issue of GPU sagging when I moved to the Cooler Master HAF XB Evo.

980Ti AMP! Omega is a big, heavy card nearly took out the PCI-E lane on my board when I had her mounted in my last case (Fractal Design Arc XL). Instead of the MB mounted on side and having the GPU hang and pull down the XB Evo has the MB mounted parallel to the ground so the GPU sits on it. Yeah! No more sag.

2nd glance - oh, it's only a silly internal GPU support with RGB.

Still, I'm so disappointed it's not an external vertical GPU mounting stand, with a cool PSU located in the base, no fan needed since it's open air and not an enclosure. That would have been innovative.

I feel like I am beating a well dead horse here... but I'd stay away from opinions like this in news pieces or Press Releases, bta. Even if you feel they are valid, without a citation they look odd, and in a Product Anouncement post they give an indication of tpu's potential prejudice towards a product.

Just my thoughts. You know you don't have to listen, but here they are, anyways.

Something about massive glowing rectangles running down a GPU stand doesn't work for me at all. It's not the fact that it's RGB perse... It's the amount of it. A fine line and/or minor accent would be nice and could work with any build. As it is it's just like woooooaaaahh. Too distracting. Guaranteed to pull you out of the rest of the build and shatter any stylistic flow the rest might have. This one is more for the funhouse style boxes with friggin mirrors and the constant endeavor to plop the most of the biggest leds on every possible part of the components.

It's just like... gah! Those giant glowing rectangles are so jarring. RGB like that says "look at me!" And then you look... "Okay so what the hell am I even lookin at here? A friggin GPU stand?! Does it... do anything else?"

Kinda not ever gonna be the most interesting thing to look at in any build... other areas probably have more going on... but this little stand will snatch your attention just the same.

Yes, I know the exposed fan blades could be troublesome for some with small children and curious pets, yet no different than a test bench. Costs would be lower since no full enclosure, and no additional fan required.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a second revision with that feature. Though it's much easier and faster to see those from Afterburner's OSD
