ASUS has released a ROG-branded riser cable for your graphics card, which will allow you to display it in different configurations on your case. Whether you make a custom solution or have a case that supports vertical graphics cards already, the ROG Strix Riser Cable is the perfect solution. There is no RGB lighting, but ASUS has equipped the ROG Strix Raiser Cable with EMI shielding and special PCB layout to prevent any signal losses from the extended travel distance between your graphics card and your boards' PCIe slot.

The ROG Strix Riser Cable also includes ASUS' patented Safe Slot design, which they employ in their motherboards for securely fastening your graphics cards to your system. The ROG Riser Cable supports PCIe 3.0 x16 signaling, and is available for a relatively hefty €49.99.

A missed opportunity for RGB lighting along the edge of the PCIe x16 slot that faces the glass panel.

im not rising to it :)yea no rbg how do the think thay will sell it, maybe its for short sighted people like me ok ill have one.

You can always count on Asus to be overpriced

I Call BS, you can't increase the distance between the card and the PCIe traces on the mobo without signal loss. Any distance will attenuate. But if you don't care, then make that new build look really cool.

if you have other PCI cards it gets really messy in there....

the uttermost posch product

ya beat me to the RGB stab! :respect: Damn you!:toast:

The end is near....

The sky is falling....

Hell hath frozen over....

A NEW product released without the rainbow, and only $55.....W.T.F........
They can have my R.friggi.G.friggin.B when they pry it from my cold, dead hands ...:respect:...

It definitely looks like a PCI-E Riser Cable.

Are we sure they didn't put the decimal point in the wrong spot?.. :banghead:

And it's only pcie3.0, there are 4.0 riser cables for that kinda money.

There's only one genuine PCIe 4.0 riser on the market, and it's made by 3M and costs around 80 bucks.

Sellers will tell you whatever makes the sale, of course.

damn I wish it had RGB lighting too , my case needs it ……:respect: lol
dont worry we got you covered! just dip your running case in the bathtub and you'll see instant RGB! :D

I need x1 riser to connect WiFi card or usb 3.1 SATA6

Fair enough, can you link me?

I had a link in my mining days, will dig it out just a moment.

EDIT: My mistake. Even this mighty cable is only good for pcie 3.0, not 4.0. It also "only" promises 8gbps. Still, these were the gold standard so they say, as they at least did their rating 100%

They are also pretty transparent about what they are made of:

The $80.00 price was during minings heyday, so probably lower now, come to think of it.

Seriously people. I am so tired of this "ASUS is overpriced BS"

It's a nice looking product that's meant for people with Helios case. It's not meant for you 30$ case with mismatch components.

You do this whenever the Mercedes launches new car as well ?

P.S. You can always get a ROG products on discount/promotion, nobody buys them for full price.

Coolermaster, Thermaltake and Deepcool make the exact same cable at 25eu. So yeah this one is indeed overpriced.
I'm not saying that every product coming from Asus is overpriced but this one is.
It's not about how much money you have spend for your system it's about making the right decisions.

I am not buying one, frankly I detest this trend. But the fit and finish on ROG looks far superior than those mentioned.

We live in sad times when even an ordinary riser cable needs ROG Gaming branding. :wtf:

Amazing Asus don't sell (yet?) RGB gaming diapers or something.
