EK Water Blocks, the Slovenia-based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, makes another push into the HEDT market by releasing the world's first Socket sTRX4 based monoblock made for made for the ROG Zenith II Extreme motherboard. This is a complete all-in-one (CPU and motherboard) liquid cooling solution for the ASUS motherboard that is based on AMD TRX40 chipset for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. This monoblock is compatible with the ASUS ROG Zenith II Extreme motherboard.

Designed and engineered in cooperation with ASUS, this monoblock uses Velocity sTR4 cooling engine to ensure the proper cooling of the large IHS that hides the spread-out chiplets. This water block directly cools AMD sTR4X type CPU, as well as the voltage regulation module (VRM). This kind of efficient VRM cooling on a TRX40 platform opens up even greater overclocking capabilities. Using a monoblock gets rid of the small fans that can be found on these TRX40 motherboards, hidden under the VRM heatsink grill.

This TRX40 platform based monoblock also comes with a redesigned bigger cold plate. The new design ensures that the monoblock has mechanical contact with the entire 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper processor IHS, thus enabling better thermal transfer. The monoblock is equipped with a D-RGB LED strip that connects to the dedicated digital 3-pin addressable gen2 header on the motherboard.

The monoblock is delivered with a CNC machined, black anodized aluminum piece that acts as a heatsink for critical components under the I/O cover, such as the 10gbit network chip, and at the same time, it is the mount for the factory I/O cover, that embodies the small OLED screen.

Availability and Pricing
EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Zenith II Extreme D-RGB - Plexi monoblock is made in Slovenia, Europe and is readily available for the pre-order through the EK Webshop or EK Partner Reseller Network for €179.99.

It is pretty. Usually acrylic MB monoblocks are an aesthetic mess, cause of the weird fluid routing, but this thing looks damn fine. :)

I feel slightly disappointed. Given how massive the block already is; I would have expected them to go the full mile and also include the chipset too, resulting in a titanic block similar to the AsRock X570 Aqua (except it's for Threadripper). Moreso since EK is working with ASUS to ensure thorough matching, and could have worked out adding in the chipset to the existing block somehow.

Thats right, nail that threadripper to the cross :D

And it shall have Ryzen on the 3rd day, in fulfillment of Lisa's Will; ascending to maximum boost clocks while remaining seated in its divine socket. It shall Precision Boost Overdrive to rip every last threaded task, and its new performance will have no end.

EDIT: Spelling

No different from GPU blocks though. If you wanna liquid cool your vrm's it's always gonna be custom. Kinda extreme these days imo but if you're already buying a zenith it's just business as usual

Hi,
I'm kind of torn by the plate between inlet and outlet :/

I've got two ek mono blocks on my wall of shame they both look cool but don't cool very well at high clocks
Separate vrm and cpu water blocks cool better bottom line just more tubing.
