It probably is ,ageesa updates and platform stability fixes could help your Oc, YMMV it helped me but you're board is newer, good luck.Is it worth updating to the newest bios for ocing? I’m still on the first bios firmware, I have no problems on it so far. I have a ryzen 3900x and plan on ocing it.

Almost correct, the UEFI/BIOS is up to the board maker, but what AMD has proven is that it takes them quite some time to fix the AGESA which is AMD's layer between the UEFI and the CPU.On intel there is little reason to update bios aside from security patches, on AMD however, i would say once you get a new board it would be better to flash it to the latest bios just that one time because AMD mostly releases half baked bios at launch, then flesh them out months later.

I've downgraded to 1405 because in 1407 the HDD LED doesn't work. I kinda love this feature so much I can't live without it.
What's really astonishing is that no one has even noticed that aside from me - there are a couple of threads on Reddit and everyone's loving the new BIOS. Is everyone blind or what?
