AMD Confirms Zen 3 and RDNA2 by Late-2020

Perhaps it's time for the developers to catch up and stop coding exclusively for outdated Intel parts?
And CUDA isn't the only GPU acceleration available, what about AMDs' Direct Compute? Is it really THAT inferior to CUDA? < Question, I'm not sure, please enlighten me here.

Yes. Its not necessarily slower though, just less well supported. Its the common theme with AMD chips. Support is so-so and lacks consistency, as do product releases. They do try and the challenges are known (no stable cash flow) but it is what it is.

ZEN3 & RDNA2 will be a solid upgrade path for everyone.

If the price is right.. and there is enough advancement in the software side of things too.

Will AMD use the Cezanne APU to fill the lineup between 6-core offerings and 8-core offerings for desktop?

zen 3 and rdna 2...hmm

maybe, but both still are 7nm tech process...even with new names, old tech, dont wish seen much update.

well, i was still checking rx 5000 series. i mean rx 5600 xt , rx 5700 and rx 5700 xt...yep, rx 5600 xt is clear rx 5700 gpu,no doubt...

so, rx 5700 xt, rdna1 gpu from amd is latest gpu from amd, and i might say its somekind flagship one?, bcoz amd real flagship , radeon vii is graved and not seen anywhere... and it is what it is..
rx 5700 xt gpu is interested bcoz it cant oc'd none, its almost full ocd. or... if you can oc'd it, heat and watts go skyhigh....meaning when we know that rdna 2 is just radeon vii and rx 5700 xt childs, what we can wait...?

bcoz i say bfore its still 'old' 7nm cpu...so i cant see anything else update it than push it full of tmus and rops, and then...power on...and seeing results...well i except that some update happen amd gpu sector engineer room....
i hope.

so rx 5700 xt goes rx 5950 xt... and when we know rx 5700 xt tdp, real one goes near 300w, ....so, put that gpu at least 75-120W more...dunno. looks clear watercool gpu...?

well we see it.. is it end of 2020...also, it cant be cheap?...so much hardware is put it.

anyway, i excited nvidia ampere, bcoz it offer nvidias 1st 7nm gpu, and... what i see little bit...wow!,
hmm i think 7nm ampere rtx 3060 is enough to show its power.. and sure efficiency.

bcoz then when nvidia ampere with 7nm process tech coming, its equal for amd gpus, and then we can fairly compare both gpu factor engineer nolich and work.

exmaple:

7nm rx 5700 xt (can example take Sapphire's RX 5700 XT Nitro+ Special Edition model) VS 7nm rtx 3060 FE (fcan be founder editon, later then AIB versions..) battle

i guess, many eyes open ...for goods...

just same excatly cpu side.... if we get even intel 10nm cpu against amd 7nm cpu...ok,but intel 7nm cpu is that what we want see and then, truth for amd 7nm ryzens and so on open all.

finally, intel monster gpu.. and i mean size! lol. its 7nm gpu and have alot everything...lets see.

anyway, cometition is always good, for all..

much happen this year...

According to a fresh leak and reported by wccftech, Ryzen 4000 series desktop release will begin in July with Renoir 8-core APU:

So it'll be kinda like only one CCX per CCD (but perhaps really like no CCX in reality too) ... that'll make things simpler for OS Thread scheduling and therefore topolgy optimization for sure indeed. I expect a single CCX/CCD to be larger then, 8 or more cores per CCD if they're smaller and you'd have 4 cores per CCD then it'll probably be worse because of the added latencies due to separation of connections.

Well see ofcourse later if we can call it just CCD moniker or use 1 CCX per CCD ... there could be some kind of a detail, but ofcourse the new CPU has terminology all to it self.

Still don't understand why they have to sell previous gen cpus named under the new series... People without knowledge of AMD's naming tactics would probably expect the latest and greatest, but that's not what they get.

Tell Intel that

Why do you have a server:p, I'm waiting on rDNA 2 it's reply will be nine months later max three minimum Imho.
Ampere isn't Nvidia's consumer product...
Ahh no I'll think I'll buy what I like thanks & Ampere is server/AI focused.
You were all wrong

You were all wrong
Where is the pictures of Geforce bro, cool story, see you when Geforce cards are out yeah not AI and SERVER.
I said no consumer, we got NO consumer.

@theoneandonlymrk
as long as there is no official statement that they WONT release one for consumer, its possible.
and please keep the bro stuff for your friends.

See the thread title.

Is that statement for here or elsewhere.

I have an opinion they will release at the very earliest September, and that's all.

It definitely won't be Ga100 based if that's what you're on about ,a 10/20'000$ card cannot be cut down to $1200.

And I'm still not clear what your on about anyway just guessing since you are being vague.

Zen 3 might be my next upgrade. RDNA2? Just buy Ampere...

uh u kidding me....
a. RTX/xTX 3080ti (AMPERE) will be $1500-$2300 Bucks i guarantee/(OR) BET you!!! (evga RTX 3080ti KiGNPiN Edition OC card will be $2300+)

a RTX 2080Ti KiNGPiN Edition GPU is ALREADY 1800 USD .SO if u have that kinda of money u must have a very good job or live in ur parents/Grand Parents Basement!!!

not all of us make 4000+ per month apparently like u do?? i get $783 per month on limited income and disabled so fuck off

ZEN3 coming soon.
Can't Wait, :D

True :) It's about time to be released. Hopefully, it will be a very interesting new lineup to stir the things up a bit more.
Agreed.
I've read the entire cache system was overhauled. Exiting CPU times coming.
