Xbox Series S Confirmed in Leaked Controller Packaging

tldr; XB1/XBSX controllers > PS4/PS5 controllers. Minorities will always complain just about anything, even the weather.

It still uses AA batteries???
VERY next gen.

it gets worse, look at those joysticks, ermm hello? 1996 called!

on a different note, is the D-pad any good on these?

If you say so. Though I’m willing to bet that PS controllers have sold multiple times the amount these legacy tech xbox controllers have, making their usersbase the majority.

If you jokingly compare total lithium battery controller sales to total alkaline battery controller sales the margin gets absurd.

Still kinda sucks that its AA and not an integrated battery. I do understand the reason for it but I'd still prefer them integrated. If it was an integrated battery I'd prolly try them out.

Damn it looks 99.999 the same as the older ones... no imagination at all..

I know i know... if it aint broken etc but cmon at least try something even minor..

PS5's controller will be my next PC controller.

At least it looks a bit different.

I've had rechargeable AAs with longer lifetimes than Li-Ion batteries on a regular usage, unless their power regulation was flawless.
So yes, please keep it AAs as it's easy to find and potentially last longer for something as rudimentary as a controller.

I can have fully charged eneloops back in my xbox pad in 20 seconds tops. Want to measure the time it takes to replace the built in battery on a DS4? Not to mention, xbox can last me 2 weeks on those puppies. DS4 barely lasts a weekend (which means about 10 hours of playing).

I am going to have to pass my XB1 controller is only 3 months and I am not about to drop $60 on a new controller. I'll wait until mine breaks, I usually go through 1 controller a year.
