Sony surprised many when they announced plans to bring Horizon Zero Dawn to PC earlier this year as it was a major first-party exclusive released for the PlayStation 4. While Microsoft has consistently been bringing first-party titles to PC, Sony had been keeping their major titles PlayStation exclusives. In Sony's latest financial report they confirm their intentions to bring further exclusives to PC to improve profitability. What games Sony plan to bring to PC is currently unknown but may well be older PlayStation 4 titles which have dwindling console sales.

Sony said:
We will explore expanding our 1st party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability.

Just give me Gran Turismo.

I really don't see why all PS4/PS5 games shouldn't come to PC after a 2yr console exclusive embargo, its just internal Sony politics from stopping it at this stage.

so many sony exclusives I want... really hope this happens :D god of war complete series please... at high refresh support remaster if possible... 240hz kratos... nom nom

Just gimme Bloodborne.

better later than never...even with piracy it will worth for them to do it... don't understand why they acted so late...

i'm also expecting a few titles.... :)

Ports are great, but please, make them good ports. Not this wonky stutterfest that we've seen pass us by a few times now.

It was believed that one of the reasons why Sony made such bizarre hardware choices with the PS2 and PS3 was to deter developers from porting their PlayStation games to other platforms because it would have been exeedingly difficult. Times changed huh ?

MLB the show?

Just keep them exclusive to your console, no one wants these half-assed profit ports.

Nobody is forcing you to purchase them.

God of War please!! if not Bloodbourne is fine.

It should be super-easy for devs to port to PC this generation because Zen2 and Navi2 isn't exactly bespoke hardware any more.

Sure, there's the issue of GDDR6 system RAM vs DDR4 for PCs but as long as the games are coded with cross-platform considerations to begin with it shouldn't matter.

Death Stranding was a really good example of a great game and a great port; Not having that on PC would have been a loss.

It's a win/win for both Sony and PC industry so great news !!!

Just get the PSP titles - God of War - Ghost of Sparta, Chains of Olympus, PS2 titles - God of War, God of War II and PS3 God of War III, basically God of War Saga collection from PS3 to PC would be fantastic. Not interested in the 2018 reboot, that was garbage to me. Played and finished on PS4 and the RPG elements were horrendous, slow gameplay, Kratos personality is completely changed, boss fights were idiotic, story was meh.

Except for God of War III all can be played on PPSSPP, PCSX2 but having native support without any fiddling with texture controls would be fantastic.

Killzone 2 and 3 would also be great, esp they are FPS shooters. Bloodborne & Uncharted trilogy collection from PS4.

This makes me happy.

Hey now....what about the whole idea that PC gamers are pirates and the reason games weren't being brought over previously was because of that?

(I'm not implying this was a Playstation only thing, but in general with companies that wouldn't port games in the past....PC = pirates and loss of revenue)

Speak for yourself. The only thing I care about from Sony's IP is Spider-Man. Give me that title and Ill be happy.

Right and it's a dumb way of thinking. People who pirate games probably wouldn't ever pay for games. It's not even a potential sale.

PC = pirates and loss of revenue

Proven time and time again to be wrong, like how when Doom Eternal was launched without DRM and it sold three times more compared to Doom 2016 which did have DRM and wasn't cracked for a long period of time. People who pirate don't buy games. Plus, as far as I know PS4 was hacked.

I don't think Sony has a choice. Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Google all have game streaming services in various stages. Sony is not a major player like those guys and can't play catch up if they fall behind. Sony has 1/3 of the cash reserves of of MS and less then half their gross revenue. Amazon has double the gross revenue of MS (although less cash reserve). Apple almost matches Amazon gross revenue but is more profitable with a better net revenue. Alphabet (aka google) is sitting on more cash then any of the guys mentioned with gross revenue above MS.

I just want them to do the ports right which means taking advantage of pc hardware by increasing resolution, 4k textures, ray tracing, dx 12, etc. Also, it needs to be optimized.

It makes sense especially that now that the PS4/5 are just PCs, games can easily be ported.
