Hot in the heels of the rumor mill pegging the release of NVIDIA's next halo product positioned below the all-powerful RTX 3090, the RTX 3080 Ti, for May, Gigabyte has just registered 12 cards with the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission). Gigabyte had already registered five such SKUs way back in December, before multiple product revisions from NVIDIA settled in what could be the cards' final form. The 12 cards that have now been submitted include 12 GB memory, and models span the entirety of Gigabyte's product stack, from the top-of-the-line AORUS Waterblock RGB, and including a single-fan, blower-type TURBO model. The listed specs confirm the 12 GB GDDR6X memory over a 384-bit memory bus.

Yet again more vaporware....

They'll make 12, one of each and that is all. Each needs it's own SKU.

This industry may need homologation rules at this point.

Miners will be happy about this, all those RTX features while mining.

The amount of skus is getting worse and worse. Do they really need 12 3080ti/3070ti variants?

Total madness, and what's it going to be, they allegedly repurposed all the 250 Ti chips into 3090 chips, how can both news pieces be right, is the 3080Ti due or scrapped, given pricing I can't see these sold for less than 3090 pricing.

This is wild. To date I can't think of a worse release than the 3xxx and AMD 6xxx series. Just an all around bad time.

It think there are 6 cards, but each has a reference version and an overclocked version of the same card
Almost. There are three Xtreme but only a single Master. The other four each have normal and OC variant.

Wow thats more fake cards than I have imaginary fingers to count on. :shadedshu:

They said the same thing at the start of the year, turns out to be vaporware. Also, if there are no cards in retail, its moot to talk about X number of SKUs. Its like saying, I've got 12 different models of RTX 3080 Ti that you cannot buy.
