NVIDIA's upcoming flagship graphics card, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti (also known as RTX 3090 SUPER in some rumor circles); could feature the company's fastest memory solution for GeForce, according to a Uniko's Hardware report. The card maxes out not just the 384-bit bus width of the "GA102" silicon, but also uses Micron-sourced "MT61K512M32KPA-21U" GDDR6X memory chips, which are rated for 21 Gbps date-rates. This results in a roughly 7.7% increase in memory bandwidth over the RTX 3090, with a whopping 1008 GB/s on tap. The title of the highest memory bandwidth on a client-segment graphics card would still go to the Radeon VII, which uses 4096-bit HBM2 to achieve 1024 GB/s. The RTX 3090 Ti also maxes out the "GA102" silicon, by enabling all 84 streaming multiprocessors (SM).

Hey, no. Bad. Let me stay on the top for a bit.

My VRAM better OC to that same speed, i'll just use a label printer and add the Ti myself.

HAHAH! I WIN! LABEL PRINTER TIME!

(+1440 Vram in afterburner, that active backplate gets the job done)

This is better memory chips though, so comparing a stock vs overclocked doesn't make sense, these will OC as well.

My label printer says otherwise

Maybe yes, maybe no...

Didn't the reference 3090 barely kept memory temps in check ?

Anyway, higher memory bandwidth is great for mining.

What about process node? 60+ watt through 12 modules would led to unmanageable temperatures.

Lemme guess, it's gonna cost 10 grand?

Yup, as far as I know.

I wonder if one day we will see NVIDA run out of normal names for cards and we will have something like RTX super duper something.

Nvidia, Nvidia. You're starting to mess your launches like AMD used to do.

I heard about a 3050 somewhere near H2/2022. Dafuq. We should be hearing about your new gen already. Not about the amount of 2060's you'll start glueing together again and your low-end which is obsolete by the time its out. And especially not about more cards that are level unobtanium-Ti...

Nah they'll just start over or maybe we'll get RTX where the R stands for Remastered. Geforce NEXT. RTX Ultra... Its so easy man... just include one or more X'es and all is well.

Memory temps can be significantly improved by changing the thermal pads to Gelid. No reason nvidia can't source better pads themselves.

I thought they would bring out next gen 4xxxx series summer of 2022. Isn't this late to the party? Maybe perhaps the delayed next gen.

There's a reason - greed.

Gelid uses the fakest thermal conductivity index in the entire market.

Reference from 7 to 14 W/mK are rebranded Fujipoly Sarcon aka Alphacool Eisschicht.

There is still some juice left in the tank, hyper, ultra, Zenith, etc.

(The last one is a good one nVidia, if you are reading this, donate me an RTX 3090Ti, or the new RTX3090 Zenith Edition)

P.S

nVidia, you are still scumbags, free card or not.

Let's hope it's 12 modules (12x2GB) and not 24 again with 1GB double sided.
Having all modules on one side should help with keeping temps in check.
