You'll have to wait forever as the latest "news" was about a 12GB version.

I guess the most important question is, how many megahash will she do of Ethereum? If she can do over 150 mhs, she'll be a welcome addition to my collection of 38x 3000 series GPUs!

Let's hope that much power generates a hell of a lot of megahash! I'd expect between 150-160mhs

Pointless. Best to wait for the next generation later next year than an unnecessarily hyped up current generation product (now over a year old tech) with a price tag for the times.

eww nicehash

Was GTX 1xxx series referred as Pascal? If so that was the best efficient series ever and probably off all time. Disappointed to see them ditch power efficiency.

Yes, Pascal is the architecture behind the GTX 10 series, which was followed by Volta (of which only TITAN V was released to the consumer segment), then Turing, which powers the RTX 20 series and Ampere, the RTX 30 series. The 40 series should be named after Ada Lovelace.

I would argue that despite the egregious power consumption of some of these graphics cards (particularly those built around GA102 silicon), the power efficiency has continued to increase over time relative to GP102. The Titan Xp (full ASIC GP102 - so most powerful card from the 10 series) is rated for just about a third of the TFLOPS of an RTX 3090, and its median gaming performance as per TPU database rating has the 3090 at a 190% relative performance, so basically we have a GPU that is twice-to-thrice as fast depending on the operation for a 100 watt increase in the TDP design (250W for Xp, 350W for 3090). This card is just taking it beyond the reasonable efficiency curve for the hell of it, I would argue.

Is anything really "leaked" anymore? All companies do this just to get the info out these days.

...... its very disappointed, because rtx 3070 ti 8 has option upgrade into vram 16gb...... meanwhile, rtx 3080 10gb still there is no option upgrade into vram 20gb.......

Nope, notta, no way, 'jose....

I'm not gonna get this one.....

Cause I'm holding out for the SupaDoopaMegaOCHyperEliteUltraDeluxeDilithiumCrystalCompositeEdition.....Rev 13.268.759 of course !
