EVGA has recently introduced the fully-modular SuperNOVA G7 80 PLUS Gold-certified ATX power supply series with integrated system load indicator LED bars. The power supplies measure only 130 mm deep while featuring a half-bridge LLC Resonant Controller with a DC-DC design and 100% Japanese capacitors. These components are cooled by a 120 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan with all models supporting a silent mode when operating at below 50% power draw. The indicator LED bars display real-time system power draw information as one of five levels in 20% increments. The EVGA SuperNova G7 is now available in four configurations consisting of 650 W (159.99 USD), 750 W (169.99 USD), 850 W (189.99 USD), and 1000 W (239.99 USD) with all models backed by a 10-year warranty.

Anyone know the platform here? Would assume Seasonic Focus-based like everything now.

Given EVGA history and this specific design with 99,9% confidence i would bet on the OEM being Super Flower .

WIll wait for reviews but I hope its better than the G6. That did not impress me overall.

Somebody wake me up when they release the 2000-3000 watt versions....so I can start planning my 13th gen/4090ti super-duper-ultra-mega-THZ-overclocked build, hehehe :D

I was promised ATX 3.0 PSUs coming out in 2022, but we get this thing instead, couldn't be any less impressive in terms of pricing either.

EVGA history is a combination of Super Flower, Seasonic, and FSP.

External design doesn't necessarily mean the same internal, for instance here is the EVGA SuperNova G5 which is FSP OEM:

G6 carries on this design theme as Seasonic OEM.

The oem could literally be anyone. If you really want to know, go to the EVGA forums-power supply section and look for g7 threads. If no one has asked who the oem is, ask. One of the mods will let you know within a day. Don't take the word of the members, they will be guessing. Unless... they link you up to a moderators post. I'm currently full up on psus and these don't come close to my price points at any level. I'm not interested or feeling energetic enough to go digging myself :)

Bleh- couldn't help myself. The first question was who is the oem. No answer yet.

True but EVGA has much more history in common with Super Flower compared to any other OEM . As for the design i wasn't specifically talking about externals , several technical caracteristics such as 130mm depth and 120mm FDB fan which are shared by Super Flower Leadex V lead to believe that in this case the OEM is Super Flower .

Hi,
Well the op is posting about a gold version not a platinum so doubt superflower is making the gold.

EVGA saves super flower for their highend models.

EVGAs ties to SF have been severed. None of their new models have been superflower based in a couple of years, last being the G3. The G5 is fsp and G6 is SeaSonic.

Not quite. The EVGA B5 (80+ Bronze-rated) is Super Flower. It seems to be ca. 2020.

There has been speculation that they stopped using Super Flower for their higher-end because they became more expensive. SF was about to enter NA around that same time. But largely, yes, EVGA doesn't seem to use Super Flower nearly as much as they used to.

Hexus is incorrect. The B5 is HEC

Like I said, it could be built by anyone. EVGA uses any and all oems.

Btw they used and still source SF in the g2/3 gold units. They don't stick with any one oem for anything.

Does it come with patented Lovelace anti-transient spike protection. Imagine 500W+ 4090 spiking by 130% like 3090 and hitting 1kW+.

This power supply will need graphene supercapacitors to cope. Maybe 1 Farad mothers will be needed.

saw GN video i see :D

i wonder how many people have the shutdown problem, and of those few how many it's really because of that and not a million other things.

It is FSP, whether it's the same thing as FSP Hydro PTM X Pro we'll see, so far no reviews on neither of them, but the image EVGA shown is definitely FSP, you can tell by the presence of variable resistors, literally no one else uses them.

That's what the dudes at EVGA forums are saying as well.
Mods are answering other questions but ignoring the oem for some reason.
